Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Taraxasterol was isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Taraxacum officinale which has been frequently used as a remedy for inflammatory diseases. Our previous study has shown that taraxasterol inhibited lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.

Taraxasterol, a pentacyclic-triterpene, was isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Taraxacum officinale. In the present study, we investigated the protective effect of taraxasterol on murine model of endotoxic shock and the mechanism of its action. Mice were treated with 2.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Taraxasterol was isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Taraxacum officinale which has been frequently used as a remedy for inflammatory diseases. In the present study, we determined the in vivo protective effect of taraxasterol on allergic asthma induced by ovalbumin (OVA) in mice.

Materials And Methods: Mice were sensitized and challenged with OVA, and were orally treated daily with taraxasterol at 2.

Aim Of The Study: Taraxasterol, a pentacyclic-triterpene, was isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Taraxacum officinale. In the present study, we investigated the in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of taraxasterol in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW 264.7 murine macrophages.

Florfenicol, an antibiotic commonly used to treat infections, has previously been shown to modulate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced early cytokine responses by blocking the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathway. In this study, we investigated the effects of florfenicol on nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E₂ (PGE₂) production as well as on inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression in LPS-stimulated murine RAW 264.7 macrophages.

Aim Of The Study: Taraxacum officinale has been frequently used as a remedy for inflammatory diseases. In the present study, we investigated the in vivo protective effect of Taraxacum officinale on acute lung injury (ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in mice.

Materials And Methods: Taraxacum officinale at 2.

Florfenicol, an antibiotic used to treat infection, has previously been shown to modulate early cytokine responses and increase mouse survival in endotoxemia. In the present study, we investigated in vivo the effect of florfenicol on acute lung injury (ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). In the mouse model of LPS-induced inflammatory lung injury, we found that pretreatment with a single 100mg/kg dose of florfenicol significantly decreases the W/D ratio of lungs and protein concentration in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and significantly reduces the number of total cells, neutrophils and macrophages in the BALF at 24h after LPS challenge.

Valnemulin is a pleuromutilin antibiotic used in clinics for the treatment of various infections. We studied the in vitro anti-inflammatory effects of valnemulin and associated signal transduction mechanisms in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages.

We have previously shown that ivermectin inhibits LPS-induced production of inflammatory cytokines. In the present study, we investigated the effect of ivermectin on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.
