Vitrectomy with residual internal limiting membrane covering and autologous blood for a secondary macular hole: A case report.

Background: Myopic foveoschisis (MF) is a common complication of pathological myopia. A macular hole (MH) usually results from the natural progression of MF and is a common complication of vitrectomy. Vitrectomy combined with residual internal limiting membrane (ILM) covering and autologous blood was effective for closing a secondary MH.

[Crystal structure and photoluminescence studies of ZnO nanocrystals doped with Eu3+ ions].

The ZnO: Eu3+ crystal was prepared via coprecipitation with the starting materials Zn(OOCCH3)2 x 2H2O, Eu2O3 and NaOH. The X-ray diffraction patterns show that the samples are hexagonal wurtzite structure, No diffraction peaks from europium oxides are detectable. Comparing the ZnO and ZnO : Eu3+ Raman spectra, the new local vibrational modes were observed in ZnO : Eu3+.

The characteristics of the exciton in ZnO is essential to the development of ZnO-based optoelectronic devices, therefore it is critical to study the optical properties of exciton and transition process in ZnO quantum dot. In the present work, zinc oxide nanocrystals were prepared by the sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern shows that they have a hexagonal wurtzite structure.
