Article Synopsis
  • Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is a condition involving the dilation of coronary arteries, often without symptoms, and its causes are not well understood.
  • A study analyzed 679 patients who underwent coronary angiography, finding that 38.3% were diagnosed with CAE, and those with CAE had higher remnant cholesterol (RC) levels.
  • The research concluded that higher RC levels are significantly associated with an increased risk of CAE, suggesting that monitoring RC could aid in understanding and potentially treating CAE.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of electroacupuncture for treating pain after laparoscopic surgery.

Methods: The following databases were searched (since their establishment until November 16, 2021) for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on electro-acupuncture for pain after laparoscopic surgery: PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Wanfang Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database. Data were screened independently and extracted by two reviewers.

Objectives: We sought to determine the optimal antithrombotic therapy after transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

Methods: Related scientific databases were searched until December 2018. We conducted a pairwise and a network meta-analysis within a frequentist framework, measuring 30-day bleeding, stroke and all-cause mortality.

Highly accurate data on the spatial distribution of ambient fine particulate matter (<2.5 μm: PM) is currently quite limited in China. By introducing NO₂ and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) into the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model, a newly developed GWR model combined with a fused Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) product and meteorological parameters could explain approximately 87% of the variability in the corresponding PM mass concentrations.

The real-time estimation of ambient particulate matter with diameter no greater than 2.5 μm (PM) is currently quite limited in China. A semi-physical geographically weighted regression (GWR) model was adopted to estimate PM mass concentrations at national scale using the Aqua Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Aerosol Optical Depth product fused by the Dark Target (DT) and Deep Blue (DB) algorithms, combined with meteorological parameters.
