Objective: To identify and analyze the most prominent problems of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients by applying a nurse-led multidisciplinary health problem assessment tool.

Methods: 170 PD patients were recruited from the PD center of the First Affiliated Hospital of GuangXi Medical University from January 2019 to June 2019, and their information was collected from July 2019 to June 2020 through telephone interviews, Wechat interviews, outpatient visits, and home visits; their health problems were classified and analyzed with regard to physiological, psychosocial, health-related behavior, and environment categories based on the Omaha Problem Classification System, and their knowledge, behavior, and status related to these problems were evaluated by the Omaha Knowledge-Behavior-Status Scale.

Results: 165 of the eligible patients completed the follow-up, and their ten most prominent health problems were "Income", "Social contact", "Pain", "Neuro-musculo-skeletal function", "Digestion-hydration" and "Edema", "Nutrition", "Physical activity", "Fluid and diet restriction", and "Symptom management".

Objective: To analyze the hematological characteristics of Chinese γ(γδβ)-thalassemia,SEA-HPFH and Taiwan type β-thalassemia.

Methods: Hemoglobin electrophoresis and blood routine test were used to analyze the hematological indexes of all peripheral blood samples,PCR-Flow fluorescent hybridization and Gap-PCR were used to detect the globin gene mutations and the data were analyzed statistically.

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, data were collected from women with singleton pregnancies who underwent noninvasive prenatal testing at 14 to 25 weeks of gestation. The eligible patients were classified into three groups according to pregnancy outcome: birth at ≥37 weeks of gestation (term group), delivery at <34 weeks of gestation (early spontaneous preterm), and delivery at 34 to 36  weeks of gestation (late spontaneous preterm).

Anillin (ANLN) is an actin-binding protein essential for assembly of cleavage furrow during cytokinesis. Although reportedly overexpressed in various human cancers, its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is unclear. Orthotopic xenograft animal model from human glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cell lines often do not recapitulate an extremely important aspect of invasive growth and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene overexpression of human GBM. We developed an orthotopic xenograft model by solid transplantation of human GBM into the brain of nude mouse. The orthotopic xenografts sharing the same histopathological features with their original human GBMs were highly invasive and retained the overexpression of EGFR gene.

Using an orthotopic intracerebral model from our established HM55-BGIV-101 tumor line, we investigated the antitumor effect on the angiogenesis and growth of human glioblastoma after treatment with monoclonal antibody DC101 against the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 and monoclonal antibody C225 against the epidermal growth factor receptor. Nude mice bearing intracerebral glioblastoma xenografts were treated intraperitoneally with DC101 and C225 either alone or in combination. Histopathological analysis of solid tumor volume, satellite tumor number, microvessel density, tumor cell proliferation, and apoptosis was performed.
