[Effects of different tillage measures on soil organic carbon in dryland wheat fields on the Loess Plateau, Northwest China based on meta-analysis].

To evaluate the effects of tillage measure on soil organic carbon (SOC) and influence degree of various factors on relative change rate of SOC at regional scale, we conducted a meta-analysis to investigate the impacts of tillage measures (CK, traditional deep tillage without straw return; NTS, no tillage with straw return; NT, no tillage without straw return; TS, traditional tillage with straw return; SS, subsoiling tillage) on SOC content and influence factors (climate conditions, soil types, cultivation types, and initial soil physicochemical properties) on relative change rate of SOC in dryland wheat fields on the Loess Plateau, based on literatures published during 2000-2023. Results indicated that NT, NTS, SS and TS performed varies positive effect on SOC content in 0-20 cm soil layer compared with CK. In addition, greater enhancement of SOC were obtained in conditions of loessal soil, mid-temperate zone, average annual temperature of ≤10 ℃ and average annual rainfall of ≤500 mm.

Force-Activated Spin-Crossover in Fe and Co Transition Metal Mechanophores.

Transition metal mechanophores exhibiting force-activated spin-crossover are attractive design targets, yet large-scale discovery of them has not been pursued due in large part to the time-consuming nature of trial-and-error experiments. Instead, we leverage density functional theory (DFT) and external force explicitly included (EFEI) modeling to study a set of 395 feasible Fe and Co mechanophore candidates with tridentate ligands that we curate from the Cambridge Structural Database. Among nitrogen-coordinating low-spin complexes, we observe the prevalence of spin crossover at moderate force, and we identify 155 Fe and Co spin-crossover mechanophores and derive their threshold force for low-spin to high-spin transition ().

Structural and antigenic characterization of novel and diverse glycoproteins.

(HNVs), a genus within the family, includes the highly virulent Nipah and Hendra viruses that cause yearly reoccurring outbreaks of deadly disease. Recent discoveries of several new species, including the zoonotic Langya virus, have revealed much higher antigenic diversity than currently characterized. Here, to explore the limits of structural and antigenic variation in HNVs, we construct an expanded, antigenically diverse panel of HNV fusion (F) and attachment (G) glycoproteins from 56 unique HNV strains that better reflects global HNV diversity.

Prediction of dual-phenotype hepatocellular carcinoma based on ultrasound and contrast enhanced ultrasound - a preliminary study.

Aims: To investigate the diagnostic value of ultrasound features with dual-phenotype hepatocellular carcinoma (DPHCC). Material and methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) confirmed by pathology results from October 2016 to December 2023. Patients were categorized into DPHCC and non-DPHCC (NDPHCC) groups based on immunohistochemical findings.

[Cloning and function characterization of a UDP-rhamnose synthase from Dendrobium huoshanense].

UDP-rhamnose, which is synthesized under the catalysis by the rhamnose synthase(RHM), is an essential sugar donor for the synthesis of rhamnoside in plants. Based on the reported rhamnose synthase, this study screened one RHM gene(DhuRHM) from the localized gene database of Dendrobium huoshanense by sequence alignment. This gene was cloned, and then bioinformatics analysis and in vitro functional verification were carried out.

Application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the preoperative evaluation of renal cell carcinoma histological classification and RENAL score.

Background: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most common malignant renal tumor, is primarily treated by surgical resection, including radical nephrectomy (RN) and partial nephrectomy (PN). At present, the choice of surgery mainly depends on the comprehensive evaluation of patients' clinical data, including histological classification, such as clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and non-clear cell renal cell carcinoma (nccRCC), and RENAL (radius, exophytic/endophytic, nearness, anterior/posterior, and location) score. Compared with biopsy and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT), contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is safer and less invasive.

Tank-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) is a critical signal transducer in the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) and interferon regulatory factor (IRF) pathways, essential for innate immunity. However, its negative regulation mechanisms remain unclear. This study demonstrates that TBK1 succinylation, regulated by desuccinylase SIRT5, inhibits lipopolysaccharide (LPS)/Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-mediated NF-κB and IRF signaling activation.

Experimental study on the translation behavior of an in-situ bubble pair in the ultrasonic field.

The dynamics of acoustic cavitation bubbles hold significant importance in ultrasonic cleaning, biomedicine, and chemistry. Utilizing an in-situ normal pressure bubble generation and observation system that was developed, this study examined the translational behavior of micrometer-scale normal pressure bubble pairs with initial radius ratio of 1:1 and 2:1 under ultrasonic field excitation. A velocity-distance curve was proposed to quantify the secondary Bjerknes forces during various interaction stages of the bubbles.

The value of multi-parameter radiomics combined with imaging features in predicting the therapeutic efficacy of HIFU treatment for uterine fibroids.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy for treating uterine fibroids by utilizing multi-sequence magnetic resonance imaging radiomic models.

Methods: One hundred and fifty patients in our hospital were randomly divided into a training cohort (n=120) and an internal test cohort (n=30), and forty-five patients from another hospital serving as an external test cohort. Radiomics features of uterine fibroids were extracted and selected based on preoperative T2-weighted imaging fat suppression(T2WI-FS)and contrast-enhanced T1WI(CE-T1WI)images, and logistic regression was used to develop the T2WI-FS, CE-T1WI, and combined T2WI-FS + CE-T1WI models, along with the radiomics-clinical model integrating radiomics features with imaging characteristics.

Exploring the natural-socioeconomic driving and response mechanisms of ecosystem services interactions to optimize ecosystem management: A case study in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin.

Revealing the complex interactions between ecosystem services (ESs) and their underlying mechanisms is a prerequisite for formulating sustainable ecological management strategies. However, few studies have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the driving and response mechanisms of ESs interactions. Therefore, this study established an integrated framework to first quantify the interactions between ESs, then identify their dominant natural-socioeconomic drivers, explore their spatial non-stationary responses, and ultimately propose corresponding strategies to optimize ecosystem management.

The high-resolution network (Hrnet) with mixed dilated convolution and dense upsampling convolution (MDC-DUC) module and a residual global context attention (RGCA) module has been proposed to detect the quality of vehicular Mini-LED backlights. The proposed model outperforms the baseline networks of Unet, Pspnet, Deeplabv3+, and Hrnet, with a mean intersection over union (Miou) of 86.

Impact of rifaximin on cirrhosis complications and gastric microbiota in patients with gastroesophageal variceal bleeding: A pilot randomized controlled trial.
