While approximately one-third of adult patients with dermatomyositis (DM) develop malignancies, typically within a year of diagnosis, this phenomenon is not commonly observed in patients with JDM. Methods: Using a cross-sectional survey method and self-report questionnaires, the number and quality of NCCUs were investigated through three steps: administering the questionnaire, sorting the survey data, and analyzing the survey data.
Results: At the second and third surveys, the number of NCCUs (76/112/206) increased by 47% and 84%, respectively.
Background: Brain abscess is a serious and potentially fatal disease caused primarily by microbial infection. Although progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of brain abscesses, the diagnostic timeliness of pathogens needs to be improved.
Case Summary: We report the case of a 54-year-old male with a brain abscess caused by oral bacteria.
Background: Immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy is a rare autoimmune myopathy characterized by muscle weakness and elevated serum creatine kinase, with unique skeletal muscle pathology and magnetic resonance imaging features.
Case Summary: In this paper, two patients are reported: One was positive for anti-signal recognition particle antibody, and the other was positive for anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase antibody.
Conclusion: The clinical characteristics and treatment of the two patients were analysed, and the literature was reviewed to improve the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of this disease.

Heatstroke is a big threat to human health; however, the characteristic of pathological changes of neurons during heatstroke development remains unclear. Here, using an in vitro model of primary cultured neurons from newborn Wistar rats, we investigated the effects of the different combinations of high temperature (37, 39, 41, 43, 45, and 47°C) and exposure time (45 min and 1 h) on the neurons. We found that, under the treatment of 45 min-heat, the neurons could resist high temperature up to 45°C, and under the treatment of 1 h-heat, the mortality of neurons increased as the temperature rises.
