Objective: To investigate the process of apoptosis in lungs and liver induced by crushing hindlimbs of rat, and study the mechanism of crush injury.

Methods: The rat experimental model of hindlimbs crush injury was established. The cell apoptosis in lungs and liver was detected by TUNEL assay, and the expression of Bax, Bcl-2 and caspase-3 apoptin was examined by immunohistochemistry.

The role of LTO1/ At VKOR-DsbA in ROS homeostasis and in redox regulation of cysteine-containing proteins in chloroplast was studied in lto1 - 2 mutant, and a potential target of LTO1 was captured. A chloroplast membrane protein LTO1/AtVKOR-DsbA encoded by the gene At4g35760 was recently found to be an oxidoreductase and involved in assembly of PSII. Here, the growth of a mutant lto1-2 line of Arabidopsis was found to be severely stunted and transgenic complementation ultimately demonstrated the phenotype changes were due to this gene.

Arginine kinase plays a vital role in invertebrate homeostasis by buffering ATP concentrations. Arginine kinase might serve as a target for environmentally friendly insect-selective pesticides, because it differs notably from its counterpart in vertebrates, creatine kinase. In this study, two members of the flavonoid family, quercetin (QU) and luteolin (LU), were identified as novel noncompetitive inhibitors of locust arginine kinase.

Objective: To study the effect of different surface treatments and different bonding agents on the bonding strength between self-made metal stub and Vita Mark II ceramic block.

Methods: Sandblasting and grinding were used to treat the surface of metal stub; epoxy resin and alpha-cyanoacrylate ester were selected; shear bonding strength was tested and the water-resist test was carried out.

Results: At normal temperature, the maximum bonding strength between the surface of metal stub (treated by sandblasting) and alpha-cyanoacrylate ester (as bonding agent) was determined to be (842.

Objective: To study the effect of tooth preparation design on fitness of CAD/CAM all-ceramic coping crown.

Methods: The tooth preparation comprised 2 types of occlusal convergence (10 degrees, 20 degrees), 2 margin forms (shoulder, chamfer). The MC coping were milled by Cerec 2 CAD/CAM system, cemented, embedded, sectioned, and measured at 10 sites to obtain the data of margin, shoulder, axial surface, occlusal surface fitness.
