Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a serious metabolic syndrome with high mortality and disability rates globally, which usually caused by unhealthy dietary patterns. Cinnamomum camphora leaf is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb used for attenuating hyperglycemia and digestive disorder, and high level of lignans has been found in C. camphora leaf.

Transcriptome-derived stromal and immune scores infer clinical outcomes of patients with cancer.

The stromal and immune cells that form the tumor microenvironment serve a key role in the aggressiveness of tumors. Current tumor-centric interpretations of cancer transcriptome data ignore the roles of stromal and immune cells. The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical utility of stromal and immune cells in tissue-based transcriptome data.

[Abnormal change of calcium signal system on consecutive monoculture problem of Rehmannia glutinosa].

Based on the early transcriptome and digital differentially expressed profiling library construction in consecutive monoculture (two-year culturing) Rehmannia glutinosa, we screened and chose the twelve differentially expressed protein genes which might be related with calcium signal system. The spatiotemporal expression of these genes was measured by the real-time quantitative PCR, and the relative expression values of the genes related with calcium signal system in different development stages and tissues of normal growth (one-year culturing) and succession cropping of R. glutinosa (two-year culturing) was elaborated in detail.

[Effects of different irrigation treatments on photosynthesis of Tieguanyin tea plants].

By using chlorophyll fluorescence kinetics technique, the effects of different irrigation intervals, i.e., 5 d (T1), 10 d (T2), 15 d (T3), 20 d (T4), and 25 d (T5), on the photosynthesis of 2-year Tieguanyin tea plants were investigated in the field, with no irrigation as the control.
