Atherosclerosis as the leading cause of the cardiovascular disease is closely related to cholesterol deposition within subendothelial areas of the arteries. Significantly, early atherosclerosis intervention is the critical phase for its reversal. As atherosclerosis progresses, early foam cells formation may evolve into fibrous plaques and atheromatous plaque, ulteriorly rupture of atheromatous plaque increases risks of myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke, resulting in high morbidity and mortality worldwide.

This study reports hyaluronic acid (HA)-modified liposomes loaded with cisplatin (CDDP) and hesperetin (Hes) (CDDP-HA-Lip/Hes) for active targeting to relieve systematic toxicity and effective anti-tumor/anti-metastasis ability of TNBC. Our results revealed that HA modification promoted the cellular uptake of the synthesized CDDP-HA-Lip/Hes nanoparticles in MDA-MB-231 cells and accumulation in tumor sites , indicating deeper tumor penetration.

And TDEs who are also one of the important components consisting of the tumor microenvironment (TME) can reshape and interact with TME to promote tumor development and metastasis. Moreover, due to their long-distance transmission by body fluids, TDEs can facilitate the formation of pre-metastatic niche to support tumor colonization.

However, we have a limited awareness of the interactive influence of varying sugarcane cultivars on rhizosphere bacterial structure and diversity. Assessing cultivar choice impact on soil bacterial communities is vital since bacterial taxa are frequently impacted by planting performance.

With the deepening urbanization, urban renewal, and reconstruction movement in China, a large amount of construction waste has been generated. In order to ease the financial pressure on the government to deal with construction waste, introducing the PPP model in the construction waste recycling industry has become popular. Based on the theory of system dynamics, this paper studies the risks of using the PPP model in construction waste recycling industry.

Methods: From January, 2015 to September, 2019, 86 consecutive DCVSD paediatrics underwent repair via right subaxillary vertical incision (RAVI) through tricuspid approach. Perioperative and follow-up data were collected.
There were controversies about the priority of modified single patch (MSP) technique compared with two-patch (TP) technique for patients with complete atrioventricular septal defect (CAVSD). From 2002 to 2013, patients who diagnosed as balanced CAVSD in our institution were retrospectively included. Patients with unbalanced ventricles or associated anomalies were excluded.

Methods and results: From January 2007 to April 2018, 37 consecutive patients with a single ventricle who underwent CAVV repair were included in the study group. Patients were divided into 2 groups based on the repair technique: patients in Group A were treated using the bivalvation technique, and patients in Group B underwent conventional repair techniques; baseline data were similar between groups.
Background Although right ventricular ( RV ) volume was significantly decreased in symptomatic patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot ( rTOF ) after pulmonary valve replacement ( PVR ), RV size was still enlarged along with RV dysfunction. Methods and Results A prospective case-control study was conducted in a tertiary hospital; 81 asymptomatic repaired tetralogy of Fallot patients with moderate or severe pulmonary regurgitation were enrolled. The enrolled cohort was divided into 2 groups: PVR group (n=41) and medication group (n=40).

Objective: To discuss the key anatomic features of double outlet right ventricle (DORV) assessed by preoperative echocardiography among patients treated with different types of biventricular repair.
Methods: Surgical and echocardiographic databases were queried to identify patients who had undergone biventricular repair for DORV and had adequate preoperative echocardiographic imaging. All patients underwent pre- and postoperative echocardiography and clinical evaluation following discharge.
Selecting an appropriate surgical approach for double-outlet right ventricle (DORV), a complex congenital cardiac malformation with many anatomic variations, is difficult. Therefore, we determined the feasibility of using an echocardiographic classification system, which describes the anatomic variations in more precise terms than the current system does, to determine whether it could help direct surgical plans. Our system includes 8 DORV subtypes, categorized according to 3 factors: the relative positions of the great arteries (normal or abnormal), the relationship between the great arteries and the ventricular septal defect (committed or noncommitted), and the presence or absence of right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOTO).

Clinical data of 806 patients diagnosed as pulmonary valve stenosis underwent transthoracic(171 patients as group A)or percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty (635 patients as Group B) in Fuwai Hospital from February 2006 to January 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 72 males in group A (42.

The aim of this study was to analyse our experience with the hemi-Mustard, BDG and Rastelli procedures as an anatomical correction for patients with ccTGA/left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO) with positional heart anomalies.
Methods: In this retrospective study, 31 consecutive patients with corrected transposition underwent the hemi-Mustard/BDG procedures with the Rastelli operation between 2011 and 2015.

Objective: To explore the feasibility and value of a new categorization of double outlet right ventricular (DORV) on guiding the optimal choices of surgical approaches.
Methods: Five hundred and twenty one DORV patients diagnosed by echocardiography, angiocardiography and CT at Fuwai Hospital from May 2003 to September 2014 were enrolled in this retrospective study. Congenital DORV was categorized according to three basic factors as follows: the positional relationships of great arteries (normal relation or abnormal relation), the relationships of the ventricular septal defect (VSD) to the great arteries (committed VSD or remote VSD), the presence or absence of pulmonary outflow tract obstruction (POTO).

Objectives: Outcomes of biventricular repair for patients with double outlet right ventricle and non-committed ventricular septal defect (DORVncVSD) are not well defined. We aim to report our experience with biventricular repair of this anomaly in proposing an original surgical management that simplifies the anatomical correction.
Methods: From January 2005 to December 2013, 75 consecutive patients with DORVncVSD who had undergone biventricular repair in our institution were retrospectively included.
Retinyl esters are the major chemical forms of vitamin A stored in the liver, and can be delivered to peripheral tissues for conversion into biologically active forms. The function and regulation of the hepatic genes that are potentially involved in catalyzing the hydrolysis of retinyl esters remain unclear. Here we show that two lipid hydrolytic genes, pancreatic-related protein 2 (mPlrp2) and procolipase (mClps), expressed specifically in the mouse pancreas, are associated with the ratio of S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) to S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy).
