Eutectic-based polymer electrolytes have emerged as promising solid electrolytes because of their ionic liquid-like properties, while modifications are essential to further increase their ionic conductivity at room temperature and solve their compatibility with lithium anode. In this work, an in situ polymerized composite electrolyte is modified by the addition of fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) whose beneficial effect is systematically investigated in different contents. Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA), deep eutectic solvent (LiTFSI:-methylacetamide = 1:3), and alumina fiber work as the monomer, solvent, and three-dimensional skeleton, respectively.

GRINA, a calcium-regulating endoplasmic reticulum (ER) protein, plays an essential role in controlling the unfolded protein response; however, its role in HIRI remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the function of GRINA in HIRI and explore its potential as a therapeutic target.

In this study, we designed a biomimetic artificial visual system (AVS) inspired by biological visual system that can process RGB images. Our approach begins by mimicking the photoreceptor cone cells to simulate the initial input processing followed by a learnable dendritic neuron model to replicate ganglion cells that integrate outputs from bipolar and horizontal cell simulations. To handle multi-channel integration, we utilize a nonlearnable dendritic neuron model to simulate the lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN), which consolidates outputs across color channels, an essential function in biological multi-channel processing.

The new criteria proposed in 2023 were designed to better identify the disease but require validation across various populations to ascertain its clinical utility. We aimed to investigate the diagnostic performance in phenotypically diverse patients.

Recent research has identified cases of sustained FAT originating from the interatrial septum (IAS); a subset of cases presents a unique challenge, with foci originating from the peri-patent foramen ovale (peri-PFO), requiring specialized management during catheter ablation. Here, we present a rare case of peri-PFO-associated FAT that resulted in tachycardia-related cardiomyopathy and propose a comprehensive multipath joint strategy for the successful treatment of PFO-associated FAT.

Methods: The 1021 participants were evaluated using ultrasonography and categorized into three groups: Group A, 391 participants with increased intima-media thickness (IMT); Group B, 300 participants with atherosclerotic plaque only on the carotid bulb (CB); and the control group (330 participants). The ratios of the diameters in the CB to those in the common carotid artery (D) and internal carotid artery (D) were defined as carotid index1 (CI) and 2 (CI).
Background: Pancreatic cancer is one of the most malignant tumors with an inferior prognosis. This study aims to determine the prognostic significance of immune-inflammatory scores and coagulation indices in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer(MPC) and develop a predictive nomogram.
Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 384 patients with MPC who underwent intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy (IAIC).

Objective: Current studies leveraging social media data for disease monitoring face challenges like noisy colloquial language and insufficient tracking of user disease progression in longitudinal data settings. This study aims to develop a pipeline for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large-scale longitudinal social media data for disease monitoring, with a focus on COVID-19 pandemic.
Materials And Methods: This pipeline initiates by screening COVID-19 cases from tweets spanning February 1, 2020, to April 30, 2022.

Background And Objectives: While previous population-based studies have suggested a link between serum vitamin D levels and depression in individuals with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), the exact correlation between serum vitamin D and depression among NAFLD patients remains controversial and disputed. Thus, we conducted this study to evaluate the relationship between serum vitamin D and depression in NAFLD participants diagnosed via transient elastography.
Methods And Study Design: This cross-sectional study was extracted from the latest NHANES 2017-2018 dataset.
Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is characterized by the inability of the fetus to achieve its growth potential due to pathological factors, most commonly impaired placental trophoblast cell function. Currently, effective prevention and treatment methods of FGR are limited. We aimed to explore the pathogenesis of FGR and provide potential strategies for mitigating its occurrence.

With the increasing diagnosis rate of patients with early-stage lung cancer, surgery treatment becomes an option for more patients. However, there is a lack of effective indicators to assess the risk of recurrence after lung cancer surgery.

Method: Data related to all 6 patients included in this study were prospectively collected from November 2016 to November 2023. The tract for endotracheal tube was created by bluntly dissection from the submandibular area to the floor of mouth.
Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is widely recognized as a promising therapeutic target enzyme for Alzheimer's disease (AD). The screening of AChE inhibitors (AChEIs) holds great significance for the treatment of AD. In this study, cellulose filter paper (CFP) -immobilized AChE was prepared and firstly applied to screening AChEIs from 30 % ethanol extract of Phyllanthus emblica L.

Despite the complexity of assessing factors influencing PPCPs sources, it remains underexplored. By conducting an extensive literature review of seven categories of PPCPs in WWTPs across five typical regions of China, the study reveals both similarities and disparities in PPCPs composition.

The burrow microhabitats created by burrowing mammals, as a hotspot for biodiversity distribution in ecosystems, provide multiple critical resources for many other sympatric species. However, the cascading effects of burrow resources on sympatric animal community assemblages and interspecific interactions are largely unknown. During 2020-2023, we monitored 184 Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) burrows using camera traps to reveal the burrow utilization patterns of commensal species.
