Determining the genomic localization of chromatin features is an essential aspect of investigating gene expression control, and ChIP-Seq has long been the gold standard technique for interrogating chromatin landscapes. Recently, the development of alternative methods, such as CUT&Tag, have provided researchers with alternative strategies that eliminate the need for chromatin purification, and allow for investigation of histone modifications and chromatin bound factors. Objective: Proteomic elucidation is an essential step in improving our understanding of the biological properties of proteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Methods: Preliminary proteomic analysis was performed on the spinal cord and brain of SOD1 G93A (TG) and wild-type (WT) mice using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation.

Results: Partial up- and downregulated proteins showing significant differences between TG and WT mice were identified, of which 105 proteins overlapped with differentially expressed proteins in both the spinal cord and brain of progression mice.

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a type of hemoglobinopathy due to an autosomal recessive genetic defect, causing significant red cell sickling, multi-organ damage and long-term severe morbidities. Background And Objectives: Solid organ transplant surgeries including liver transplants constitute a substantial risk of bleeding complications and given frequent national blood shortages, supporting D-negative transplant recipients with D-negative red blood cell products perioperatively can be difficult for the transfusion services. This study was designed to compare the incidence of alloimmunization after D-mismatched red cell transfusions between patients with and without a history of solid organ transplant at a single tertiary care hospital. Based on their serum total IgE levels and whether they received omalizumab treatment, they were divided into a control group (IgE >1 500 IU/mL, no omalizumab treatment), a normal treatment group (IgE levels between 30 and 1 500 IU/mL, omalizumab treatment), and an ultra-high IgE treatment group (IgE >1 500 IU/mL, omalizumab treatment).
