In this paper, the short-range ordering structures of Ga melts has been investigated using the Wulff cluster model (WCM). The structures with a Wulff shape outside and crystal symmetry inside have been derived as the equivalent system to describe the short-range-order (SRO) distribution of the Ga melts. It is observed that the simulated HTXRD patterns of the Ga WCM are in excellent agreement with the experimental data at various temperatures (523 K, 623 K, and 723 K).

Purpose: To investigate the potential of 4D flow MRI-derived pulmonary hemodynamic parameters as sensitive markers for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with right ventricular dysfunction (RVD).

Inspired by the recently reported novel two-dimensional material BCP, we performed one-dimensional shearing along the zigzag direction to obtain four BCP nanoribbons with various edge atom combinations. An asymmetric hydrogen passivation scheme was employed to modulate the electronic properties and successfully open the band gap, especially the 2H-1H passivation with dihydrogenation and monohydrogenation at the top and bottom edges, respectively, achieving bipolar magnetic semiconductors with edge P-atoms contributing to the main magnetism. Chloride ion (Cl) is ubiquitous in diverse water bodies, yet poses a longstanding challenge in water pollution control by hindering the efficiency of pollutant degradation. Herein, we proposed a novel concept involving the direct utilization of endogenous Cl ions in water for rapid water purification within a non-redox zirconium oxide (ZrO)-activated peroxymonosulfate (PMS) system. In this process, PMS was complexed on the ZrO surface through inner-sphere coordination, and effectively activated by the partial electron cloud deviation from Zr(IV) sites to PMS, thereby forming a metastable surface complex with an elevated redox potential.
