Intracellular organic matter from Chlorella vulgaris enhances the photodegradation of acetaminophen.

Algae is able to accelerate the photodegradation rate of contaminants under sunlight irradiation, and this process can be attributed to algal substances, namely, intracellular organic matter (IOM) and extracellular organic matter (EOM).
