The PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases were searched for relevant literature and eight studies, including 565 patients with cancer, were selected.

The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to identify significant risk factors for perforation in gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection. Studies published in the English language were searched for in Embase, WEB OF SCIENCE, Medline (PubMed and Ovid) and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and Database of Systematic Reviews. Inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were defined in advance in this work.
