However, these policies and interventions meant to promote the general welfare of the public, in defense of common good, were met with legal challenges, especially in opposition to interventions' impact on the exercise of religion.

This has led to the adoption of autologous adipose engraftment procedures that allow for the injection of adipose tissues to be used as a "filler" for correcting cosmetic defects and deformities in soft tissues. However, the clinical use of such methods has several limitations, including high resorption rates and poor cell survivability, which lead to low graft volume retention and inconsistent outcomes.

Study Objectives: To evaluate for potential interactions between magnetic positive airway pressure (mPAP) masks and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) for patients with sleep apnea.

Methods: Adult patients with a CIED who used an mPAP mask were recruited from our sleep clinic to undergo a safety visit at our pacemaker clinic. We tested whether the mPAP interacted with the implanted device at home during normal use and in the clinic during simulated normal use and with direct contact.

As the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic continues, few studies have evaluated bioterrorism preparedness of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), even in the accelerating environment of biothreats.

Methods: This study utilized an Internet-based survey to assess the level of preparedness and willingness to respond to a bioterrorism attack and identify factors that predict preparedness and willingness among Nebraska EMS providers.

Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic inspired social changes that promote outdoor activities including eating at restaurants, which may linger in a world hyperfocused on disease transmission prevention, increasing the vulnerabilities to vehicle-based terrorism. Do Histories of Painful Life Experiences Affect the Expression of Empathy Among Young Adults? An Electroencephalography Study.

Previous research suggests that prior experience of pain affects the expression of empathy. However, most of these studies attended to physical pain despite evidence indicating that other forms of pain may also affect brain activity and emotional states in similar ways. To address this limitation, we compared empathic responses of 33 participants, some of whom had experienced a personal loss, across three conditions: observing strangers in physical pain, psychological pain, and a non-painful condition.

Objective: Navajo Nation residents experience extreme rates of poverty, food insecurity and diet-related diseases. While many residents travel far to shop at grocery stores, there are small stores closer to home that could provide more healthy options, like fruits and vegetables (F&V). Little is known from the perspective of store owners and managers regarding the barriers and facilitators to offering F&V; the present study contributes to filling that gap.

Background: This study assessed the association of remuneration systems of paid-for-performance Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and salaried Anganwadi workers (AWWs) on seven maternal health outcomes in four states in India: Andhra Pradesh (AP), Chhattisgarh, Odisha (Orissa), and Uttar Pradesh (UP).
