Spirulina effect on modulation of toxins provided by food, impact on hepatic and renal functions.

Spirulina platensis, is an alga rich in phycocyanin (potent antioxidant), is effective in regulating the balance of oxidative stress. The objective of this study is to observe the impact of ingestion of a highly oxidised vegetable oil, by rats of Wistar strain. Finally, we observe the effect of Spirulina used as an antioxidant treatment, on rats having ingested a diet rich in highly oxidised oil.
