Objective: Femoral neck fractures (FNFs) are among the most common fractures in elderly individuals. Surgery is the main treatment for FNFs, and osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is one of the unacceptable complications. This study aimed to assess both the clinical and radiological outcomes in patients with FNFs treated with three parallel cannulated screws and to identify relationship between screws position and ONFH.

In this study, we aimed to identify potential risk factors for early dislocation following primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) for displaced intracapsular femoral neck fractures (FNF) using radiological measurements.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data for patients who underwent cementless primary THA for FNF using a posterolateral approach between January 2018 and December 2021.
Background: Periprosthetic fractures (PPFs) is one of the major causes of failure of hip arthroplasty with cementless stem; however, studies on the incidence and risk factors of PPFs after cementless hemiarthroplasty for femoral neck fractures (FNFs) are lacking.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients who underwent cementless bipolar hemiarthroplasty for displaced intracapsular FNFs. The demographic data were reviewed, Dorr classification was used to describe morphology of the femur, radiological parameters were measured including stem-shaft angle, canal fill ratio (CFR), canal flare index (CFI), morphologic cortical index (MCI), canal calcar ratio (CCR), and vertical and horizontal femoral offset.

Currently, developing therapeutic strategies for chondrosarcoma (CS) remains important. Sennoside A (SA), a dianthrone glycoside from Senna and Rhubarb, is widely used as an irritant laxative, weight-loss agent, or dietary supplement, which possesses various bioactive properties such as laxative, antiobesity, and hypoglycemic activities. For the first time, our results suggested that cell proliferation and metastasis were inhibited by SA in CS SW1353 cells.

Accumulating evidences suggest that SA possesses numerous pharmacological properties, such as laxative, anti-obesity, hypoglycemic, hepatoprotective, anti-fibrotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-neurodegenerative activities. These pharmacological effects lay the foundation for its potential application in treating a variety of diseases.

Acupuncture and electroacupuncture (EA), as two classic treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine, have been widely employed to cure various diseases. Recently, the clinical application of acupuncture and EA in cancer patients has received great attention.

Metformin (MET), the most common medicine for type 2 diabetes (T2DM), improves insulin sensitivity by targeting the liver, intestine and other organs. Its impact on expression of the solute carrier () transporter genes have not been reported in the mechanism of insulin sensitization. In this study, we examined gene expression in the liver and colon of diet-induced obese (DIO) mice treated with MET by transcriptomic analysis.

This study aimed to evaluate the short-term preliminary outcomes of our novel anatomical plate placed via the trans-supra-fibular approach to treat posterolateral tibial plateau fractures.
Methods: From May 2016 to May 2018, 23 consecutive patients with posterolateral tibial quadrant fractures underwent open reduction with internal fixation via the trans-supra-fibular-head approach with our newly developed plate.
Plasmonic Au nanoparticles (NPs) have been commonly used to enhance the photocatalytic activity of CuO. Till now, core-shell Au NP@CuO composites have been reported in previous studies. Yet, these Au@CuO composites only exhibit visible light response.

A decrease in the osteogenic ability of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) is one of the underlying causes of senile osteoporosis (OP). Here, we investigated the involvement of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and the pathogenesis of senile OP.

However, whether SA has therapeutic potential in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treatment remains elusive. In this study, we treated two HCC cell lines, HepG2 and SMMC-7721 with SA and found that SA selectively inhibited the growth of HCC cells by proliferation assay.

The purpose of present study was to introduce a new articular fracture fragments restoration technique for three patterns of PTPF and investigate the relationship between associated soft injuries and fracture patterns.
Methods: From May 2016 to April 2018, 31 patients with PTPF who had undertaken arthroscopically assisted reduction and fixation (AARF) were enrolled in present study.
Backgroud: The osteotomy of the posterolateral overhanging part (PLOP) of the greater trochanter via posterior approach has been used for the hip arthroplasty for decades with good results. However, the osteotomy method remains undefined and the precise adjacent structures around PLOP have not been reported. The purpose of this study was to present a modified PLOP osteotomy approach and perform a detailed study of the topographic and surgical anatomy of the PLOP.
