The Trachway is a new device which provides better glottic view than conventional direct laryngoscopy during tracheal intubation. This intubating stylet consists of a camera on the distal tip of the style, with a monitor attached to the rechargeable handle, so that it can overcome the difficulty of limited neck motion and mouth opening in tracheal intubation. We present here a 54-year-old man with ankylosing spondylitis, scheduled to undergo total hip replacement.

We report a 45-year-old obese uremic female, who developed sudden and profound shock followed by cardiac arrest during the percutaneous insertion of a permanently cuffed and tunneled hemodialysis catheter under local anesthesia. Upon our rush to the scene for succor, inspection revealed that she was pale, comatose, and tachypneic, while her peripheral radial pulse was not felt on palpation. In addition to immediate airway management, setting up vital signs monitoring, aggressive fluid resuscitation, we promptly put transesophageal echocardiograph into use.

Kidney transplantation related femoral neuropathy can mimic epidural catheter related radiculopathy in clinical presentation. Anesthesiologists should keep this possibility in mind when performing epidural anesthesia or analgesia for kidney transplantation. We present a 52-year-old male who after undergoing cadaveric kidney transplantation under general anesthesia in combination with epidural analgesia made possible by catheterization via T11-12 interspace for reinforcement of anesthesia and for postoperative patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) sustained sensory disturbance and muscle weakness of the lower limbs.
