Organophosphate flame retardants (PFRs) can be rapidly metabolized in the body, and recent studies have shown that the di-alkyl phosphates (DAPs) are important metabolites. The accumulation and distribution of 8 PFRs and their 4 DAPs metabolites were first investigated in whole-body samples and various tissues of three freshwater fish species (topmouth gudgeon, crucian carp and loach) with different feeding habits from locations around Beijing, China. Concentrations of ΣPFRs in whole-body samples across all sampling locations ranged from 264.

In this study, we explored its anti-inflammatory effect and underlying mechanisms in LPS-activated macrophages. Our data showed that OBA potently decreased pro-inflammatory mediators (eg, NO, IL-6, IL-1β, and MCP-1) at the transcriptional and translational levels without cytotoxicity.

The ability to identify a specific cancer using minimally invasive biopsy holds great promise for improving the diagnosis, treatment selection, and prediction of prognosis in cancer. Using whole-genome methylation data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and machine learning methods, we evaluated the utility of DNA methylation for differentiating tumor tissue and normal tissue for four common cancers (breast, colon, liver, and lung). We identified cancer markers in a training cohort of 1,619 tumor samples and 173 matched adjacent normal tissue samples.

Some researchers have demonstrated that the glycosylation status of MUC1 can affect MUC1-mediated tumor growth and cell differentiation. In our previous study, we proved that the abilities of cell proliferation, adhesion, invasion and metastasis, and drug resistance were enhanced in ovarian cancer cells stably expressing Lewis(y).

At present, there is no standard for the clinical description of the anterior urethral stricture for the selection of the characteristic index, and most of the indicators are qualitative information. In order to achieve consistent decisions and effective comparisons, it is imperative to establish a standardized description system.

Recently, the incidence of ovarian cancer has been increasing annually, and there remains a lack of suitable treatment methods that can significantly improve the 5-year survival rates of patients. Therefore, it is necessary to identify more effective treatments for ovarian cancer.

In this process, coagulation and ozonation could synchronize within a single unit. Compared with the pre-ozonation-coagulation process and traditional coagulation process at the same coagulants dosage, the HOC process exhibited higher treatment efficiency, especially better organic matter removal performance at each pH value, which were 37.

Design: Both in vivo and in vitro investigations were performed. Twelve adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=6 per group).
A novel hybrid ozonation-coagulation (HOC) process was developed for application in wastewater reclamation. In this process, ozonation and coagulation occurred simultaneously within a single unit. Compared with the conventional pre-ozonation-coagulation process, the HOC process exhibited much better performance in removing dissolved organic matters.

Shuang-Huang-Lian (SHL), a herbal formula from Chinese Pharmacopoeia, has been clinically used in type I hypersensitivity. Our previous study demonstrated that SHL exerted a non-negligible effect on MC stabilization.

However, if and how chronic inflammation governs the unfolded protein response (UPR) and promotes ER homeostasis of chronic inflammatory disease remains elusive. In this study, chronic inflammation resulted in ER stress in mesenchymal stem cells in the setting of periodontitis.

Methods: A comprehensive search on (dental procedure/treatment/practice), (aspiration/inhalation), and (ingestion/swallow) was performed for all years before 1st October 2014 available. The statistic analysis was made on the variables including journals and reported year, patients' age, gender, general conditions, dental procedure and location for procedure, foreign objects, site of involvement, possible causes, anesthesia during procedure and treatment, symptoms, treatment time and treatment modality, follow-up, and so on.

Objectives: The occurrence of pulmonary artery aneurysm (PAA) is extremely rare in the clinical setting. Careful treatment should be considered because of the possibility of fatal complications including rupture, dissection, pulmonary embolism and heart failure. Our goal is to contribute a better understanding of this disease and its treatment.

Considering the adverse effects of OPFRs, many researchers have paid their attention on the absorption, bioaccumulation, metabolism and internal exposure processes of OPFRs in animals and humans. In this article, we first review the diverse absorption routes of OPFRs by animals and humans (e.

Previous proof-of-concept studies have demonstrated the efficacy of gene therapy using human MERTK (hMERTK) packaged into adeno-associated virus (AAV2) in treating RCS rats and mice with MERTK deficiency. The purpose of this study was to assess the safety of gene transfer via subretinal administration of rAAV2-VMD2-hMERTK in subjects with MERTK-associated retinitis pigmentosa (RP).

Thus, sensory neuron types can be defined by linking transcriptome-based neuron typing with the sensory phenotypes. Here we classify somatosensory neurons of the mouse dorsal root ganglion (DRG) by high-coverage single-cell RNA-sequencing (10 950 ± 1 218 genes per neuron) and neuron size-based hierarchical clustering.
