This paper describes a ferric nitrene/photoredox dual-catalyzed anti-Markovnikov ring-opening of epoxides under neutral conditions for providing α-substituted acetophenones. A DFT-based calculation supported the reaction regioselectivity. The catalytic system could also be applied to the formation of C-O and C-N bonds nucleophilic functionalization of benzylic C-H bonds.

Additionally, corticosteroids usually lead to hyperglycaemia especially in patients with pre-existing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Besides reducing the blood glucose levels, metformin was found to have immunomodulatory effects.

The reaction is featured with a high reaction regioselectivity and good reaction generality. In particular, the resulting isoquinalin-2-ones could be structurally elaborated into several biologically interesting scaffolds.

The transformation is proceeded by the alkoxycarbonyl radical addition to unactivated alkenes, followed by the insertion of carbon monoxide to induce intramolecular migration of heteroaryl groups, which is different from the traditional reaction modes. The reaction conditions were mild and well tolerated with varieties of functional groups.

To explore the clinical characteristics of sarcoidosis of head and neck symptoms, and to summarize the diagnosis and treatment experience. A retrospective study was conducted on patients with nodular disease with main symptoms in the head and neck who visited Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2020 to August 2023. The clinical data including symptom characteristics, pathological characteristics, treatment methods, and prognosis were analyzed.

Recruited patients were randomly assigned 1:1 to receive either eltrombopag plus diacerein (n = 50) or eltrombopag monotherapy (n = 52). Overall response rate, defined as a platelet count of ≥30 × 109/L, at least doubling of the baseline platelet count, and no bleeding, was reached in 44% of patients in the eltrombopag plus diacerein group compared with 13% in the eltrombopag group at day 15 (P = .

There is a growing body of evidence indicating that ferroptosis plays a critical role in the advancement of tumors. The increased metabolic activity and higher iron levels in tumor cells make them particularly vulnerable to ferroptosis.

This post-hoc analysis of a phase III hetrombopag trial aimed to assess the outcomes of ITP patients who switched from eltrombopag to hetrombopag. In the original phase III trial, patients initially randomized to the placebo group were switched to eltrombopag.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAortic aneurysms (AA) and aorta dissection (AD) are life-threatening conditions with a rising incidence and high mortality rate. Recent research has linked non-coding RNAs to the regulation of AA and AD progression. In this study, we performed circRNA sequencing, microRNA (miRNA) sequencing, and messenger RNA (mRNA) sequencing on plasma samples from AA and AD patients to identify the key circRNA-miRNA-mRNA axis involved in the transition from AA to AD.

The existing literature has shown that a higher level of preoperative physical activity (PA) plays a positive role in the low incidence of postoperative complications and the quality of life in patients undergoing lung surgery. However, the association between preoperative PA levels and the incidence of PPCs has rarely been studied, particularly in thoracoscopic lung surgery.

Responders to thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RAs) revealed a parallel increase in the number of both platelets and MDSCs. Here, anti-CD61 immune-sensitized splenocytes were transferred into severe combined immunodeficient mice to establish an active murine model of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).

This phase III study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of QL0911 in adult patients with chronic primary ITP over a 24-week treatment period.
Methods: We conducted a double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase III study in patients diagnosed with primary ITP for at least 12 months who had received at least one first-line ITP treatment with no response or recurrence after treatment, or who relapsed after splenectomy at 44 sites in China.
This multicenter, open-label, single-arm trial (ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT05236621) was conducted to confirm the efficacy and safety of generic pomalidomide plus dexamethasone in Chinese patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). Total 79 eligible RRMM patients were planned to be included.

While 2D images lack depth information and are sensitive to environmental conditions, 3D point clouds can provide accurate depth information and a more descriptive environment. However, sparsity is always a challenge in single-frame point cloud object detection.
