Aims: Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are known markers playing complex roles in tumorigenesis. However, the function of TAMs in a variety of malignancies is not yet fully understood. The aim of this pilot study was to quantify the density of TAMs in Ewing sarcoma and to determine the correlation between TAMs and clinicopathological parameters.

The first case was a 63-year-old patient with MFH of myxoid type, the second case was a 79-year-old patient with MFH of pleiomorphic type. MFH is one of the most common tumors of the soft tissues, but its primary occurrence in the breast is rare.

Furthermore, a possibility of the diagnostics and management of its rare complication- an inflammatory pseudotumor of the liver is presented. Based on the literature data, other possible complications of foreign objects in the liver parenchyma are listed, including their diagnostic and treatment options.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOncocytic cardiomyopathy is a rare arrhythmogenic disorder usually associated with female sex, difficult-to-control arrhythmias, or sudden death of infants and children. Morphologically, it is characterized by the presence of oncocytic cells, which are diffusely distributed or form the nodular structures within the myocardium, occasionally involving the valves, with a large number of mitochondria in cytoplasms. We present two cases of oncocytic cardiomyopathy.
