Introduction: Patients with myasthenia gravis (MG), an autoimmune disease affecting the neuromuscular junction, exhibits varying rates of COVID-19 infection across different studies. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to estimate the pooled prevalence of COVID-19 infection in individuals with MG.
Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and gray literature, including references to the research published before October 2021.
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of early posttrabeculectomy bleb leakage on trabeculectomy surgery outcomes and success rate.
Methods: The present prospective cohort study was conducted on 203 eyes of 203 patients who underwent trabeculectomy at Torfeh and Imam Hossein Medical Centers, Tehran, Iran, between 2016 and 2021. Patients were divided into two groups: those with early bleb leakage (within the 1 month of surgery) and those without bleb leakage.
Background: Sepsis is one of the common causes of hospitalization of patients in intensive care units. A significant role for vitamin D in sepsis has been proposed, which is due to its active metabolite, calcitriol.
Aims: Evaluate the effect of calcitriol supplementation on infectious biomarkers, including procalcitonin and presepsin.
Background: Vitamin D has neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects in stroke patients, but its effect on pro-inflammatory and inflammatory cytokines, especially IL-1, has been investigated in a few trials.
Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effect of prescribing a high dose of vitamin D on the anti-inflammatory parameters, short-term and long-term prognosis of patients with ischemic stroke.
Methods: This randomized clinical trial was performed on 42 patients randomly divided into two equal groups of 21 in Imam Hussein Hospital.
Background: Vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia is associated with the coronavirus disease 2019 vaccines. It has been reported by vector-based vaccines. To the best of our knowledge, there is no report about vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia in whole-virus vaccines.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on patients with symptoms and signs of bowel obstruction between November 2019 and July 2020 in Shohadaye-Tajrish and Imam Hossein General Hospitals, Tehran, Iran.
In this study, zeolite/activated carbon@MnO composite was used as a novel adsorbent to eliminate methylene blue (MB) and brilliant blue (BB) dyes from aqueous media. To this end, activated carbon (AC) was produced by Ziziphus Spina-Christi leaves and then used to synthesize zeolite/AC@MnO composite. Various analyses such as BET, SEM, EDX, Map, FTIR, and XRD were performed to determine the surface features of the above composite.

We evaluated the time that plasma concentrations remain above four times the MIC (ft > 4MIC) and PK parameters of meropenem in this population.
Methods: In this prospective, randomized clinical trial (RCT), all patients received standard dose (3 g daily) of meropenem for 48 h, then randomly allocated in standard or adjusted groups.
Disease-related malnutrition of neurocritical illness harms its treatment, which increases the mortality rate. The aim of this study was evaluating the effect of a high protein diet on the dietary factors, clinical outcome, and mortality rate of neurocritical patients. In a randomized controlled trial, 15 neurocritical patients were recruited in each group.

In this single-blinded RCT, one group received IV colistin and another group IV ampicillin-sulbactam (16 and 12 patients from total 28 patients, respectively) for 14 days or since clinical response. Both groups received nebulized colistin by mesh nebulizer.

The present study was done with the aim of evaluating the correlation between serum levels of vitamin D and outcome of sepsis patients.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study was performed on patients over 18 years of age suspected to sepsis presenting to an emergency department during 1 year using non-probability convenience sampling.
The aim of current study was evaluating the frequency of clopidogrel resistance and its impact on clinical outcome of patients in Iranian patients. Patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention in Imam Hussein Medical center, Tehran, Iran, who received standard dosage of clopidogrel (Plavix®, Sanofi, France, 600 mg loading dose and 75 mg/day afterward) were recruited. Platelet aggregation was measured using light transmission aggregometer.

In the present study, capability of nanodiamond (ND) for the adsorption of anionic (methyl orange, MO) and cationic (methylene blue, MB) dyes from aqueous solution was investigated. Employing fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Boehm titration method and zeta potential, it was found that the simple thermal oxidation of ND at 425 °C, increased the content of carboxylic acid of ND and accordingly the zeta potential of ND decreased considerably. Therefore, a series of oxidized NDs (OND) at various oxidation times and as-received untreated ND (UND) was used as adsorbents of MO and MB.
