Efficacy of convalescent plasma for the treatment of COVID-19 in lung transplant recipients: A multicenter French study.

Introduction: Lung transplant (LT) recipients are at greater risk of complications from COVID-19. Treatment options are limited partly due to interactions with immunosuppressive agents. Convalescent plasma (CP) is a potential treatment option, but it has not been extensively studied in LT patients.

Pregnancy and heart-lung transplantation.

The purpose of this study was to report a single center's experience of 5 new pregnancies following heart-lung transplantation. These 5 pregnancies gave rise to 4 live births. Vaginal delivery occurred at a mean of 38 +/- 1 weeks of amenorrhea (range, 37-39 weeks) and the mean birth weight was 3,143 +/- 757 grams (range, 2,270-3,990 grams).

Pulmonary endodermal tumor resembling fetal lung is a rare pulmonary neoplasm, classified either within the pulmonary blastomas spectrum or as a subtype of adenocarcinoma. We report a case revealed by a fever in a 24-year-old woman. The tumor measured 9 cm and extended into the lower right bronchus.

[Heart-lung transplantation and cystic fibrosis. Indications and results].

Background: Heart lung transplantation for++ cystic fibrosis is now performed in patients with severe lung disease but the experience is still scarce with the exception of some specialized centers.

Patients And Methods: Twenty-one patients underwent heart-lung transplantation between September 1989 and November 1994 in our institution, with a high standard of reliability in tracheal anastomosis and with a low incidence of hospital mortality (5%).

Results: The actuarial patient survival is 90.
