[Lyme disease in Iceland - Epidemiology from 2011 to 2015].

Introduction: Lyme disease is caused by an infection with Borrelia burgdorferi sensu latu (B. burgdorferi sl.) which is carried by Ixodes ticks.

[Melioidosis, first four cases in Iceland].

We report the first four cases of Melioidosis treated in Iceland and review the literature. Melioidosis is caused by the saprophytic Gram negative bacteria Burkholderia pseudomallei. Most disease occurs in residents of Southeast-Asia and North-Australia.
