Development of nanofiber membranes with the ability to remove organic dye such as Indigo Carmine (IC) from effluent wastewater is of immense help to the textile industry. In the present study, we investigate the preparation of cellulose acetate (CA) nanofiber membranes with optimized performances using electrospinning technique for effective removal of Indigo Carmine (IC) dye. Electrospinning parameters and solvent system containing acetic acid were adjusted to obtain CA nanofibers membranes which better suits dye removal application.

Every day, significant quantities of solid wastes are generated in steel companies which causes environment pollution. These waste materials differ from one steel plant to other depending upon the steelmaking processes adopted and pollution control equipment installed. The most common type of solid wastes originated in steel plant are hot metal pretreatment slag, dust, GCP sludge, mill scale, scrap, etc.

In this paper an innovative method that relies on the generation of Pickering emulsions was developed to prepare porous membranes from gelatin for filtration purpose. Hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets (h-BNNS) were used to stabilize micro-droplets of castor oil in a continuous homogeneous gelatin solution.

Two of the three Lu atoms occupy special positions (Wyckoff positions 3a and 3b, site symmetry ). The atomic arrangement consists of infinite helical polyphosphate chains running along the c axis, with a repeat period of 12 PO(4) tetra-hedra, joined with LuO(6) octa-hedra.

Each eight-membered phosphate ring shares a bridging tetra-hedron with each of four adjacent tetra-hedra, to form layers of PO(4) tetra-hedra. These layers are c/2 in thickness and parallel to the ab plane.
