Multiple forms of parental psychopathology have been associated with differences in subcortical brain volume. However, few studies have considered the role of comorbidity. Here, we examine if alterations in child subcortical brain structure are specific to parental depression, anxiety, mania, or alcohol/substance use parental psychopathology, common across these disorders, or altered by a history of multiple disorders.

Remediation of cognitive impairments in cold cognition has been proposed as a valuable treatment for depression. This study aimed to investigate barriers and facilitators to using economic evaluations in public health immunization programs decision-making across Canadian jurisdictions.
Methods: This mixed methods study consisted of a cross-sectional survey and semi-structured interviews of national, provincial and territorial public health level key informants, and of members of the national immunization research network in Canada.
We organized 10Kin1day, a pop-up scientific event with the goal to bring together neuroimaging groups from around the world to jointly analyze 10,000+ existing MRI connectivity datasets during a 3-day workshop. In this report, we describe the motivation and principles of 10Kin1day, together with a public release of 8,000+ MRI connectome maps of the human brain.

This is one mechanism by which we achieve a subjective sense of agency over our actions. Corollary discharge (CD) signals-"copies" of motor signals sent to sensory areas-permit such predictions, and CD abnormalities are a hypothesized mechanism for the agency disruptions in schizophrenia that characterize a subset of symptoms.

Since the transfer of residents between nursing homes is uncommon in The Netherlands, we hypothesized that staff exchange plays an important role in transmission. This exploratory study investigated the extent of former (last 2 years) and current staff exchange within and between nursing homes in The Netherlands.

Following an operative microvascular extraintracranial bypass, 50 patients were re-examined by the ultrasonic Doppler technique. The findings were compared with the results achieved by post-operative angiography. This examination of the patency of extraintracranial anastomoses with the ultrasonic Doppler technique can be conducted on an outpatient basis, is noninvasive and can be frequently repeated.

Computerized midline echoencephalography was developed in order to make the determination of the midline more objective. In a group study involving the neurosurgical clinics in Berlin, Erlangen, and Munich, a total of 1,889 patients with various intracranial diseases was examined by this method. An exact analysis of the results obtained is presented: 18 percent were unsatisfactory.

Valuable information is obtained both in emergencies and in follow-up studies. Since long practice is necessary before the results of echoencephalograms can be interpreted accurately, a need was felt for a standardization of the examination which would eliminate the subjective influence of the investigator.
