Purpose: Systemic androgen-signaling inhibition added to ongoing androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) improved clinical outcomes in patients with nonmetastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer without detectable metastases by conventional imaging (nmCRPC). Prostate-specific membrane antigen ligand positron emission tomography (PSMA-PET) detects prostate cancer with superior sensitivity to conventional imaging, but its performance in nmCRPC remains largely unknown. We characterized cancer burden in high-risk patients with nmCRPC using PSMA-PET.

The increasing incidence of this disease, high cure rates, and significant long-term sequelae warrant increased focus on optimal survivorship care following definitive chemoradiation. In order to establish our survivorship care model for ASCC patients, a multi-disciplinary team of experts performed a comprehensive literature review and summarized best practices for the multi-disciplinary management of this unique patient population.

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is expressed in most prostate cancers and can be identified by PSMA-ligand imaging, which has already become clinically accepted in several countries in- and outside Europe. PSMA-directed radioligand therapy (PSMA-RLT) with Lutetium-177 (Lu-PSMA) is currently undergoing clinical validation. Retrospective observational data have documented favourable safety and striking clinical responses.

Whether GCs predict for the presence of occult metastatic disease at presentation or subsequent metastatic progression is unknown.
Objective: To determine if GC scores predict extraprostatic Ga prostate-specific membrane antigen (Ga-PSMA-11) positron emission tomography (PET) positivity at presentation.
Standardized terminology is critical to providing consistent reports to referring clinicians. This lexicon aims to provide a reference for terminology frequently used in rectal cancer and reflects the consensus of the Society of Abdominal Radiology Disease Focused Panel in Rectal cancer. This lexicon divided the terms into the following categories: primary tumor staging, nodal staging, treatment response, anal canal anatomy, general anatomy, and treatments.

For effective treatment via BNCT, efficient and selective delivery of a high boron dose to cancer cells is needed. To the best of our knowledge, no prospective head-to-head comparison between these tests has been done so far. The aim of this study was to compare prospectively paired F-fluciclovine and PSMA PET-CT scans for localising biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy in patients with low prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentrations (<2·0 ng/mL).

This is the first case series to investigate clinicopathologic, hormonal and molecular features of CRC diagnosed during the peri-partum period. We hypothesized that advanced presentations of CRC could possibly be mitigated by pregnancy-related hormonal factors.

Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT was performed on 11 patients. PET was acquired in list mode and reconstructed using a 3-min full acquisition, a 2-min acquisition, and a 1-min acquisition to generate images obtained with three thirds (standard dose), two thirds (low dose), and one third (very low dose) of the injected dose, respectively.

Ki-67 proliferation index (Ki-67 PI) has been established as a prognostic factor in NETs. We aimed to evaluate whether a correlation exists between Ki-67 PI and somatostatin receptor positron emission tomography (SSTR-PET) uptake.

Representatives from the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging collaborated to develop a practical consensus guideline for the administration of Lu-DOTATATE. In this paper, we discuss patient screening, maintenance somatostatin analog therapy requirements, treatment location and room preparation, drug administration, and patient release as well as strategies for radiation safety, toxicity monitoring, management of potential complications, and follow-up.

Rectal cancer PET/MRI protocols typically include dedicated pelvis bed positions utilizing small field-of-view T2-weighted imaging. For staging of the primary tumor, PET/MRI can help delineate the extent of tumor better as well as the extent of tumor beyond the muscularis propria.

We recently illustrated that complement (C) coating of HIV-1 (HIV-C), as primarily found during the acute phase of infection before appearance of HIV-specific antibodies, by-passed SAMHD1-mediated restriction in DCs and therefore mediated an increased DC activation and antiviral capacity. To determine whether the superior antiviral effects of HIV-C-exposed DCs also apply during STIs, we developed a co-infection model in which DCs were infected with .

However, conflicting results warrant further investigations. As tissue microstructure, particularly of the grey matter, is heterogeneous, a more precise diffusion model may benefit tissue characterization.

Progestin-only long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) are increasingly popular among women seeking contraception; however, recent epidemiological studies suggest that systemically administered medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) may increase HIV acquisition. In order to determine the exact mechanisms underlying increases in transmission specific to MPA use and to test safer, alternative contraceptive progestin types and delivery methods, in vitro modeling studies must be performed. To achieve this, it is imperative that accurate hormone concentrations be utilized when modeling progestin-mediated outcomes, as the down-stream effects are dose-dependent.

One hundred fifty patients underwent Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT or PET/MRI, and the images were interpreted by two blinded board-certified radiologists. Each reader evaluated for the presence or absence of PSMA-positive disease within the prostate bed, pelvic lymph nodes, bones, and soft tissues (extrapelvic lymph nodes and visceral structures).

Here we analyzed the spatiotemporal features of age-related differences in myelin content across the human brain indexed by magnetization transfer (MT) concentration in a cross-sectional cohort of healthy adults. We described age-related spatial gradients in MT, which may reflect the reversal of patterns observed in development.
