A painful journey to antivenom: The therapeutic itinerary of snakebite patients in the Brazilian Amazon (The QUALISnake Study).

Access to antivenoms is not guarranteed for vulnerable populations that inhabit remote areas in the Amazon. The study of therapeutic itineraries (TI) for treatment of snakebites would support strategies to provide timely access to users. A TI is the set of processes by which individuals adhere to certain forms of treatment, and includes the path traveled in the search for healthcare, and practices to solve their health problems.

Pregnant women infected by the Zika virus: Ultrasound findings and growth patterns of fetuses with and without microcephaly.

Objective: To compare ultrasound growth measurements of fetuses with and without microcephaly in suspected Zika virus infection.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study included pregnant women with suspected Zika virus infection to evaluate 110 fetuses with and without microcephaly. The women had been admitted to the fetal medicine unit between October 2015 and August 2016.

Currently one of the main sources of atmospheric pollution identified in urban centers is derived from both industrial and motor vehicle emissions. These pollutants can be adsorbed to particulate matter which is present in the air or deposited in the soil and plants, eventually reaching the human food chain. In this context, the present study aimed to determine the concentration of metals such as Cu, Pb, Cd, Ni and Zn in two subspecies of Lactuca sativa L.

Cyberculture thus represents a new form of interface between people. And it is precisely "through" and "by means of" social relations that individuals acquire skills and communication techniques.

The article seeks to analyze the specific literature about the male body and its relationship to the field of health. Based on this analysis, it is hoped that hypotheses or presuppositions can be established as a starting point for future interventions and research on the subject. Methodologically, the study is a literature review of a qualitative nature focusing on articles available in the Virtual Health Library (VHL).
