Article Synopsis
  • Hybridization chain reaction (HCR) is a method for amplifying nucleic acids without enzymes, which creates complex structures that can become uncontrollably long due to polymerization.
  • * By modifying the design of hairpin monomers with extended dangling ends, researchers have found ways to regulate the HCR process based on factors like sequence length and nucleotide composition.
  • * This new approach not only enhances control over the HCR reaction but also expands its potential applications in analyzing specific enzymes and short DNA sequences that were difficult to study before.
