A visual COD sensor based on the magnetically oriented graphite flake-enhanced photoelectrochromic effect.

A visual chemical oxygen demand (COD) sensor was developed by electrodepositing Prussian blue (PB) on indium tin oxide (ITO) conductive glass to form an electrochromic layer, followed by the vertical alignment and immobilization of graphite flakes under a magnetic field. A TiO₂/g-C₃N₄ heterojunction photocatalyst was in situ integrated with the graphite flakes to enhance the performance. Under the irradiation of visible light, reductive substances in the water sample are oxidized by photogenerated holes from TiO₂/g-C₃N₄, while photogenerated electrons are conducted through the graphite flakes to the electrochromic layer, reducing PB to Prussian white (PW) and causing a color change.

Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of SUT gene family members in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.).

Sucrose transporters (SUTs) play an important role in the transmembrane transport and distribution of sucrose, and their activity has an important impact on plant growth and crop yield. In this study, the SUT gene family was identified in the whole beet genome using bioinformatics methods, and gene characteristics, subcellular localization prediction, phylogenetic evolution, promoter cis-elements and expression patterns were systematically analyzed. A total of 9 SUT gene family members were identified from in beet genome and divided into 3 different groups (group 1, group 2, and Group 3), which were unevenly distributed on 4 chromosomes.

Muscle fatigue related to human posture using a brush cutter for landscape gardening: a preliminary study.

Background: Brush cutters are widely used in Chinese landscape gardening and agricultural laboring which leads the operators being exposed to many risks. Low back pain (LBP) is particularly common and can lead to substantial personal, community and financial burdens. The aim of the presented study was to measure the activity and function of each torso muscle of the operator when using the bush cutter, so as to evaluate the muscle injury of the operator during using several common brush cutters for different landscape tasks.

Emotional warmth and cyberbullying perpetration attitudes in college students: Mediation of trait gratitude and empathy.

Based on Social Learning Theory and the General Aggression Model, this study aims to explore the relationship between parental emotional warmth and the cyberbullying perpetration attitudes of college students and the mediating roles of trait gratitude and empathy. Using the stratified cluster random sampling method, 1198 college students (716 boys and 482 girls with an average age of 20.44 years) were tested using the subscale of the Parenting Styles Instrument, the Basic Empathy Scale, the Gratitude Questionnaire-6, and the Cyberbullying Attitude Questionnaire.

The Mediation Role of Moral Personality Between Childhood Psychological Abuse and Cyberbullying Perpetration Attitudes of College Students.

Guided by social learning theory and general aggression model, this work aims to explore the impact of childhood psychological abuse on cyberbullying perpetration attitudes of college students and the mediating role of moral personality. Using stratified cluster random sampling method, 527 college students were tested by using the Childhood Psychological Abuse Scale, Moral Personality Adjective Evaluation Questionnaire for college students, and the revised Chinese version of Cyberbullying Attitude Questionnaire. Results: (1) Childhood psychological abuse was significantly positively correlated with cyberbullying perpetration attitudes and showed a significant negative correlation with positive moral personality traits.

The present study was carried out on the determination of trace elements in J. A by AAS, which has been irrigated by various concentrations of seawater and harvested in different years. The method is rapid with good precision and accuracy.
