Restoring and maintaining the function of endothelial cells is critical for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Guanylate binding protein 1(GBP1) is proved to elevated in ARDS patients, but its role and mechanism remains unclear. The objective of this study is to investigate the internal mechanism of GBP1 in lung injury.

Methods: This retrospective observational study was conducted to explore the risk factors and prognosis of CRO infection in 503 acute cholangitis patients diagnosed between July 2013 and January 2022 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, who were divided into a CRO group and non-CRO group based on the presence or absence of CRO. Univariate, multivariate analyses, and the proportional hazards model were used to compare the risk factors and prognosis of CRO suffering in patients with acute cholangitis.
Background: The study aimed at investigating the changes of dry eye parameters, especially the meibomian gland function in dry eye patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and non-Sjögren's syndrome (non-SS) before and after punctal plugs insertion.
Material And Methods: The SS and non-SS dry eye patients that received punctal plugs insertion were prospectively investigated. This study recruited fifty patients.
Purpose: To explore the effect of Meibomian Thermal Pulsation LipiFlow® on obstructive and hyposecretory meibomian gland dysfunction.
Methods: Twenty-five subjects diagnosed with obstructive meibomian gland dysfunction (OMGD) and another 25 hyposecretory meibomian gland dysfunction (HMGD) patients were collected receiving the unilateral treatment with LipiFlow®. We evaluated the parameters variables including Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness (SPEED), Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), Schirmer I test (SIT), noninvasive keratographic breakup time (NIKBUT), tear meniscus height (TMH), and lipid layer thickness (LLT), partial blink rate (PBR), meibomian gland loss, meibomian gland morphology with LipiView®.
