Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disease (ND). In recent years, multiple clinical and animal studies have shown that mitochondrial dysfunction may be involved in the pathogenesis of AD. In addition, short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) produced by intestinal microbiota metabolism have been considered to be important factors affecting central nervous system (CNS) homeostasis.

Offspring from the same mother were divided into two groups, half of them were fostered or remained by a depressive mother, and the other half remained or fostered by a control mother, respectively. The results showed that offspring fostered by depressive mothers presented significant depressive behaviors.

The crucial effect of microbiota on brain physiological processes is mediated through a bidirectional interaction, termed as the gut-brain axis (GBA), which is being investigated in studies. Many clinical and laboratory trials have indicated the importance of microbiota in the development of NDs various microbial molecules that transmit from the gut to the brain across the GBA or nervous system.

We previously found that overexpression of G protein α subunit 14 (GNA14) promoted UCEC growth. Krüppel-like factor 7 (KLF7) acts as an oncogene in various cancer types, whereas the connection between GNA14 and KLF7 in UCEC is unclear.

MI rat model was established by the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery ligation. MI model was further evaluated by biomarkers detection and TUNEL, HE and Masson staining.

The purposes of this study were to evaluate MACC1 expression in cervical cancer and determine role of MACC1 small interference RNA (siRNA) in the growth and progression of cervical cancer.
Methods: Immunohistochemical analysis of MACC1 expression was performed in different cervical lesion tissues.
