The group "beyond Li-ion" batteries (Na/Mg-ion batteries) have the advantages of abundant reserves and high theoretical specific capacity. However, the sluggish kinetics resulting from large ion radius (Na) and polarity (Mg) seriously limit the battery performance. Herein, we prepared Nb-doped anatase TiO with Ti vacancies (Nb-TiO) through a simple solvothermal and subsequent calcination process.

The results showed that the degradation behavior of the composite samples depended significantly on the whisker content, and the degradation rate increased with the addition of MgO content. Furthermore, the degradation of the composites with higher contents of whiskers was influenced more severely by the hydrophilicity and pH value, leading to more final weight loss, but the decomposition rate decreased gradually.

In this work, a dense and nanoscale magnesium fluoride (MgF) coating was deposited on the surface of Mg-Zn-Zr (MZZ) alloy cancellous screw. The MZZ cancellous screw with MgF coating maintained an integrated shape and high yield tensile stress after 30days immersion in SBF, comparing with the bare screw.
