Purpose: Due to the increased risk of acute cardiac injury (ACI) and poor prognosis in cancer patients with COVID-19 infection, our aim was to develop a novel and interpretable model for predicting ACI occurrence in cancer patients with COVID-19 infection.
Methods: This retrospective observational study screened 740 cancer patients with COVID-19 infection from December 2022 to April 2023. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used for the preliminary screening of the indices.
A multilayer spiral-corrugated cantilever beam was developed as an improvement for a conventional single-layer flat cantilever beam to improve the performance of a piezoelectric geophone adopting polyvinylidene fluoride film for low frequency seismic vibration measurement. The proposed structure is longer and has less stiffness compared with the conventional beam, so the piezoelectric geophone adopting the developed cantilever beam has a lower natural frequency. To confirm the validity of the design, the finite element analysis was conducted and the results showed that the natural frequency of the geophone with the multilayer spiral-corrugated cantilever beam is much lower and the corrugated structure can improve the sensitivity of the geophone.

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) film has been widely investigated as a sensing material due to its outstanding properties such as biocompatibility, high thermal stability, good chemical resistance, high piezo-, pyro- and ferro-electric properties. This paper reports on the design, test, and analysis of a biomimetic tactile sensor based on PVDF film. This sensor consists of a PVDF film with aluminum electrodes, a pair of insulating layers, and a "handprint" friction layer with a copper foil.

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of organic manure on the wheat growth under different levels of lead stress. With increasing lead stress level, whether fertilization or not, the plant height, shoot dry mass, adventitious root number, root total length, root dry mass, root activity, root total and active absorbing area, and root SOD and POD activities decreased, and root MDA content presented an increasing trend. The decrement of the above-mentioned parameters differed with fertilization treatments.
