Objective: Overweight and obesity are serious public health issues worldwide and significantly impair children's executive function (EF). However, there is no consensus regarding the benefits of aerobic exercise, on the EF of overweight and obese children. This study systematically evaluated the intervention effects of aerobic exercise on EF and its subcomponents (inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility) in overweight and obese children.

In this paper, stability is studied for a class of switched singular systems containing both stable and unstable modes. By introducing a time-varying piecewise Lyapunov function (TVPLF) and a mode-dependent average dwell time (ADT) switching rule, the computable sufficient conditions for system stability are derived. The time-varying piecewise Lyapunov functions are piecewise continuously differentiable on every mode (but may not be differentiable at the interpolating points of the dwell time).

Tea flowers and fresh tea leaves are biological products of tea, but tea flower is often regarded as waste during tea production, resulting in notable waste of tea flower resources. At present, analysis of the chemical components in tea flowers focuses on single types of chemical components such as amino acids and tea polyphenols, and there are only a few reports on the simultaneous analysis of numerous chemical components in tea flowers. Researchers are not completely clear about the types and amounts of the chemical components in tea flowers; this has hindered the in-depth development and effective utilization of tea flowers.

Methods: We examined LINC00858 expression in GC tissues and matched normal tissues from 189 patients using a quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. The correlations of LINC00858 levels in GC patients with clinicopathologic features were analyzed using a chi-squared test.
Polymorphisms in the tumor necrosis factor α () gene are emerging as key determinants of gastric diseases. The TNF-α-238G/A single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) is the most extensively studied. However, this association is inconsistent amongst different populations.

Identifying novel risk factors will facilitate the development of therapeutic strategies to prevent and treat GC. Increased expression of the Src homology 2 B adaptor protein 1 (SH2B1) may stimulate the malignant progression of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and neuroblastoma.

The role of Lasp-1, as well as the intracellular signaling pathways involved in metastasis and progression of colorectal carcinoma, remains unclear. In the present study, the regulatory effect of Lasp-1 and the underlying molecular mechanism involved in migration and invasion of colorectal carcinoma were investigated.

The major cause of death is metastasis. Elucidating molecular mechanism of metastasis in gastric cancer will help us to further understand the pathogenesis and progression of the disease, and offer new targets for effective therapies.

In this study, we found that EHF overexpression promoted formation of CIC traits and silencing it inhibited the traits in gastric cancer NCI‑N87 cells. Overexpressing EHF downregulated the antitumor effect of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in NCI‑N87 cells.

Methods: Nanoparticles were prepared using nanoprecipitation technique and optimized using central composite rotatable design response surface methodology (CCRD-RSM). Further the optimized nanoparticles were characterised for particle size (PS), zeta potential, entrapment efficiency (EE), drug loading efficiency (DL), anticancer potential against MKN45 (human gastric cancer) cells, in vivo tumor inhibition and survival analysis.
T-Box 2 (TBX2) plays a critical role in embryonic development. Previously, TBX2 has been suggested to be involved in malignancies. However, the role of TBX2 in gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear.

The objective of this study was to examine whether the growth of gastric cancer cells was inhibited in vivo by using lovastatin, an effective cholesterol-lowing drug.
Methodology: The mice models for gastric cancer cells MKN45 were divided into two groups, the control and experimental group.
