This article is aimed at investigating the effects of HMGB1 on dysfunction of bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) and impaired osseointegration under diabetic environment. , BMSCs were treated with normal glucose (NG), high glucose (HG), and HG+glycyrrhizin (HMGB1 inhibitor, HG+GL).

Here, specimens of five composites (VITA LC, VITA ZETA, Z350, Filtek P60, and AP-X), containing different filler size and weight, were immersed into culture medium for 72 h. After TEGDMA quantification, the resin composite eluates were used to incubate HGFs.

The results confirmed that 1 μM naringin performs the best effect and a collection of bone-related genes (RUNX2, COL1A2, OPN, and OCN) had significantly higher expression levels compared to the control group. Furthermore, a typical trabecular structure was observed in vivo, surrounded by a large amount of osteoblasts.
