Atherosclerosis (AS) is the main cause of cerebrovascular diseases, and macrophages play important roles in atherosclerosis. DExH-Box helicase 9 (DHX9), as a member of DExD/H-box RNA helicase superfamily II, is identified as an autoantigen in the sera of systemic lupus erythematosus patients to trigger inflammation. The aim of this study was to investigate whether DHX9 is involved in AS development, especially in macrophages-mediated-inflammatory responses.

Background And Aims: The association between sleep traits and coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with diabetes has been reported in previous observational studies. However, whether these potential relationships are causal remains unclear. We aim to assess the causal relationship between sleep traits and CAD in diabetic.

Background: Observational studies have indicated that psychosocial factors contribute to hypertension; however, the causality of these associations remains unclear due to reverse causality and confounders. We aim to assess the causal associations of mental health disorders with hypertension.

Methods: Instrumental variables of anxiety disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and subjective well-being measure were obtained from the corresponding largest genome-wide association studies.

Background: IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is the most common primary GN worldwide. Circulating immune complexes form that are prone to deposition in the mesangium, where they trigger glomerular inflammation. A growing body of evidence suggests that dysregulated expression of microRNAs in IgAN may play a significant role in establishing the disease phenotype.

IgA nephropathy (IgAN), the most common form of primary glomerulonephritis, is caused by immune system dysfunction and affects only the kidneys. miRNA was involved in IgAN, in which their roles are still unknown. Herein, we found increased glomerular medulla size, proteinuria, kidney artery resistance, kidney fibrosis and immune complex deposition in 5-month miR-25/93/106b cluster knockout (miR-TKO) mice.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a frequent and severe complication of diabetes that is structurally characterized by glomerular basement membrane thickening, extracellular matrix accumulation, and destabilization of podocyte foot processes. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are dysregulated in DN, but identification of the specific miRs involved remains incomplete. Here, we confirm that the peripheral blood from patients with diabetes and the kidneys of animals with type 1 or 2 diabetes have low levels of miR-23b compared with those of their nondiabetic counterparts.

Objective: To observe the morphology of hypertrophic scar tissue and explore the expressions and distribution of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and transforming growth factor beta activated kinase 1(TAK1 )in these tissues.

Method: Hematoxylin-eosin staining, Masson staining, immunofluorescence, and real-time polymerase chain reaction were used to detect the localization and expression of VEGF and TAK1 in 15 hypertrophic scar tissues and 10 normal skin tissues.

Results: Morphological observation showed that the dermal fibroblasts in hypertrophic scar were disorderly and densely arranged (compared to the normal skin).
