Aortic aneurysm (AA) is a serious disease that affects the aging population worldwide. Potential risk or associated factors, such as inguinal hernia, have been suggested by conventional studies. In the present study, summary statistics data for the associations of inguinal hernia were derived from a large genome-wide association study including 18,791 inguinal hernia cases and 93,955 controls in the UK Biobank.

We previously found that post-operative patients showed an increase in endothelial cell-derived extracellular vesicles (eEVs) with components of coagulation and acute inflammatory responses. However, the mechanism underlying the onset of ALI owing to the release of eEVs after cardiopulmonary bypass, remains unclear.

In order to reveal the correlation between the prevalence of venous thromboembolism in Kazak pregnant and lying-in women in Xinjiang, the polymorphisms in the promoter region and coding region of the TAFI gene and the interaction of environmental factors are investigated. In this study, determination and analysis of anticoagulation indexes are conducted. The activity of antithrombin III and protein C is measured by chromogenic substrate method, and the activity of protein S is measured by coagulation method.

Methods: Disposal biopsy forceps were used to remodel the filter hook in the center position to release the embedded hook from the caval wall.
Results: The biopsy forceps-assisted loop snare technique was successfully used to retrieve filters with hooks embedded in the IVC wall.
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the potential association of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) with the primary patency of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) in hemodialysis arteriovenous fistula (AVF) stenosis.
Methods: This study conducted a retrospective review of patients with end-stage renal disease referred for hemodialysis AVF stenosis in one center. The study consisted of 114 patients with significant (significant stenosis was defined as a reduction in the caliber of the fistula vein of > 50% with respect to the non-aneurysmal venous segment).
Objective: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as critical molecular regulators in various diseases. However, the potential regulatory role of lncRNAs in the pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) remains elusive. The aim of this study was to identify crucial lncRNAs associated with human AAA by comparing the lncRNA and mRNA expression profiles of patients with AAA with those of control individuals.

Therefore, distal entry tears should be managed. Nowadays, main strategies for managing distal entry tears included total and selective strategies.

Evidence has indicated that edoxaban is a potential drug of oral anticoagulant in the acute treatment of venous thromboembolism. Hydrogen sulfide and homocysteine plasma concentration are indicators of cardiovascular and neurovascular disease risk factors that have attracted considerable attention for regulation of vascular health and homeostasis.

Perioperative systemic inflammation is an important risk factor and complication of cardiac surgery. In this study, we investigate whether EMPs increase in congenital heart diseases to promote inflammation and endothelial dysfunction.

Through cross-sectional investigation, permanent Kazakh population of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture was selected as the study object to measure their antithrombin III (AT-III), protein C, protein S activity and activated C protein resistance value, thus defining the situation of the crowd's hereditary thrombophilia. Sequenom Massarray detection technology was used to conduct a genotype test of the six sites selected by the case and control groups.

In 2010, Gao described a novel procedure without the aid of mechanical ventilation. However, the technique of heart externalization could not be applied to mouse models of IPC or IPD due to the limited time frame of the technique.

Mitral valve endothelial cells are important for maintaining lifelong mitral valve integrity and function. Plasma endothelial microparticles (EMPs) increased in various pathological conditions related to activation of endothelial cells. However, whether EMPs will increase in mitral valve disease and their relationship remains unclear.

Objective: Myocardial injury during cardiac surgery is a major cause of perioperative morbidity and mortality. We determined whether perioperative statin therapy is cardioprotective in patients undergoing noncoronary artery cardiac surgery and the potential mechanisms.
Methods And Results: One hundred fifty-one patients undergoing noncoronary artery cardiac surgery were randomly assigned to either a statin group (n=77) or a control group (n=74).
