Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library and collected related articles published before March 10, 2024.
In order to study the change rule of freshness and acid ions in reconstituted tobacco slurry, the content changes of 17 organic acids and 5 inorganic anions in reconstituted tobacco slurry with different residence times under confined condition were determined by on-line solid-phase extraction ion chromatography in this study. The results showed that the changes of acetic acid, nitrate ion and isovaleric acid in different reconstituted tobacco slurries with oscillation time were regular and consistent, and the trends of the changes of acetic acid, nitrate ion and isovaleric acid in different reconstituted tobacco slurries with oscillation time were correlated with each other in a highly significant way. Taking the evaluation of olfactory aroma and sensory quality qualities of reconstituted tobacco pulps with different residence times as a benchmark, it was found that the variation patterns of nitrate ions and isovaleric acid in reconstituted tobacco pulps with oscillation time were consistent with the variation patterns of olfactory and sensory qualities in the process of closed oscillation; compared with the fresh pulp, the olfactory aroma and sensory qualities of tobacco pulps had unpleasant odours appearing when the content of nitrate ions was reduced by about 48%.

In order to assist intestinal anastomosis healing and avoid anastomotic leakage caused by high tension, low blood supply or infection, we designed a double-layer nanofiber intestinal anastomosis scaffold, which was composed of electrospun PTMC/PHA nanofibers as the main layer, and electrospun PVA/OHA-Gs nanofibers with antibacterial properties as the antibacterial surface layer. This double-layer scaffold has good toughness, its maximum tensile force value could reach 8 N, elongation could reach 400 %, and it has hydrophilic properties, and its contact angle was about 60°.

The continuous development of click reactions with new connecting linkage is crucial for advancing the frontiers of click chemistry. Selenium-nitrogen exchange (SeNEx) chemistry, a versatile chemistry in click chemistry, represents an all-encompassing term for nucleophilic substitution events that replace nitrogen at an electrophilic selenium(II) center, enabling the flexible and efficient assembly of linkages around a Se(II) core. Several SeNEx chemistries have been developed inspired by the biochemical reaction between Ebselen and cysteine residue, and demonstrated significant potential in on-plate nanomole-scale parallel synthesis, selenium-containing DNA-encoded library (SeDEL) synthesis, as well as peptide and protein bioconjugation.

In this study, we report a robust and straightforward DNA-compatible diazo-transfer reaction utilizing FSON as the diazo-transfer reagent in solution. This reaction demonstrates high conversions and facile operation while being metal-free and maintaining high levels of DNA fidelity.

In the past decade, the flourishing material science has made impressive progress in near-infrared fluorophores that may fulfill this purpose. Fluorescence imaging-guided surgery shows great promise for clinical application and has undergone widespread evaluations, though it still requires continuous improvements to transition this technique from bench to bedside.

Single-port robotic system is gaining more popularity in robotic surgery, but there has been no report on its application in robotic proximal gastrectomy with right-sided overlap and single-flap valvuloplasty (RPG-ROSF). Here, we report an RPG-ROSF using a novel single-port robotic system in a 51-year-old male patient with an early-stage gastroesophageal cancer detected by gastroscopy.

Methods: We carried out systematic searches in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and the EMBASE databases from database inception to July 2023 to gather studies that examined the connection between palliative gastrectomy and the prognosis of advanced GC.
Three undescribed pregnane steroids, 12β-O-4-hydroxybenzoyl tenacigenin D (1), 12β-O-4-hydroxybenzoyl tenacigenin A (2), and 11α-nicotinoyl-17β-marsdenin (3), along with two known analogues (4 and 5), were isolated from the roots of Marsdenia tenacissima. Their structures were elucidated using one- and two-dimensional NMR, high-resolution electron ionization-mass spectrometry, single-crystal X-ray diffraction data, and experimental and density-functional-theory-calculated electronic circular dichroism measurements. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against human lung cancer cells (A549), ovarian carcinoma cells (SKOV-3), gastric cancer cells (MGC 803) and breast cancer cells (MCF-7).

Utilizing network pharmacology and molecular docking techniques, CTS was identified as our final research target. The structural morphology and physicochemical properties of PDA/MSN@CTS were examined.

Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction data, calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD), and Mo(OAc)-induced circular dichroism. Compounds 2 and 3 represent the first examples of neo-5,10-seco-clerodane diterpenoids containing a 1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione and a pyrrolidine-2,5-dione moiety, respectively.

Enhanced understanding and an accurate diagnosis of papillary adenomas of the lung are crucial for clinical treatment and prognostic assessment. A 61-year-old man who presented with an opportunistic finding in relation to a left lower lobe lung nodule during an examination was admitted to The First Hospital of China Medical University (Shenyang, China) for further treatment.

A successful operation to remove heterotopic ossification was described in the report with satisfactory results.
Case Presentation: A 7-year-old boy suffered a supracondylar fracture of the humerus after an accidental fall, and after immobilization with a cast, improper movement resulted in heterotopic ossification of the elbow joint, which severely affected joint function.
Background: Breast cancer has become one of the leading causes of cancer deaths and is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among females worldwide. Despite advances in breast cancer therapy, metastatic disease in most patients will eventually progress due to the development of de novo or secondary resistance. Thus, it is extremely important to seek novel drugs with high effectiveness and low toxicity for systematic therapy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPhotothermal therapy (PTT) is a promising approach for tumor ablation and cancer treatment. However, controlling the therapeutic temperature during treatment remains challenging, and imprecise thermal regulation can harm adjacent healthy tissues, reduce therapeutic accuracy, and promote the thermotolerance of cellular phenotypes, potentially leading to tumor invasion and recurrence. Although existing methods provide basic temperature control by adjusting irradiation power and photothermal agent dosing, they lack real-time temperature monitoring and feedback control capabilities, underscoring the urgent need for more integrated and precise PTT systems.
