An evidence mapping study based on systematic reviews of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for diabetic retinopathy.

Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a leading cause of vision impairment and blindness among individuals with diabetes. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been explored as an alternative treatment for DR, but the quality of evidence remains uncertain. A comprehensive evidence mapping study is necessary to synthesize existing SRs, identify gaps in the literature, and highlight areas requiring further research.

[Evidence mapping of traditional Chinese medicine intervention in diabetic retinopathy].

This study aims to assess the quality of evidence for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy with traditional Chinese medicine based on the systematic reviews/Meta-analyses of relevant studies. CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, and Cochrane Library were searched for the systematic reviews/Meta-analyses of traditional Chinese medicine interventions in diabetic retinopathy published from the inception to November 2023. A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews 2(AMSTAR2) scale was used to assess the methodological quality of the included studies.

[Evidence mapping analysis of traditional Chinese medicine intervention in pulmonary fibrosis].

This study utilized evidence mapping methodology to systematically identify, describe, and evaluate the evidence from relevant research on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) interventions in patients with pulmonary fibrosis. CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, and Cochrane Library were searched from database inception to March 2023 for systematic reviews/Meta-analysis/network Meta-analysis on TCM interventions in pulmonary fibrosis. The quality of included studies was assessed using the AMSTAR 2 scale, and the evidence mapping approach was employed to present comprehensive information on populations, intervention methods, the sample size in systematic reviews/Meta-analysis, and conclusion classifications.

Low level light therapy/photobiomodulation for diabetic peripheral neuropathy: protocol of a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is one of the most common complications of diabetes that strongly impact the patients' quality of life and working ability. Evidence indicated that low level light therapy (LLLT)/photobiomodulation might be effective for neuropathy. However, the effect of LLLT for DPN is not clear.

Taking Proactive Action: Introduction to the Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has fully displayed its strength and specialty and has played an important role in the prevention and treatment of the pandemic. Faced with the unexpected development of the pandemic, the Chinese government has responded quickly and attached great importance to the effect of TCM. Comprehensive therapy integrating Chinese and Western medicine has achieved remarkable success.

Efficacy and side effects of chinese herbal medicine for menopausal symptoms: a critical review.

This study evaluates 23 (9 Chinese and 14 non-Chinese) randomized controlled trials for efficacy and side effects of Chinese herbal medicine on menopausal symptoms. Menopause was diagnosed according to western medicine criteria in all studies while seven Chinese studies and one non-Chinese study further stratified the participants using traditional Chinese medical diagnosis "Zheng differentiation." Efficacy was reported by all 9 Chinese and 9/14 non-Chinese papers.

[Analysis on acupuncture and moxibustion literature in Medline database from 2000 to 2007].

To summarize and analyze literature about acupuncture and moxibustion embodied in Medline Database from 2000 to 2007, the articles in Medline PubMed Database were retrieved by different retrieval tactics on line, in combination with artificial statistical analysis on the literature data. Results indicate that among a total of 4 041 articles about acupuncture and moxibustion retrieved from Medline in the 8 years, 628 were published in Chinese and 3071 in English. These articles were involved in 836 journals, including 31 Chinese Journals.
