Background: Joint replacement is a common treatment for older patients with high incidences of hip joint diseases. However, postoperative recovery is slow and complications are common, which reduces surgical effectiveness. Therefore, patients require long-term, high-quality, and effective nursing interventions to promote rehabilitation.

Main Methods: Adeno-associated virus (AAV) that knockdown or overexpression GADD45B were injected into ventral hippocampal CA1 (vCA1) by stereotactic, and verified by fluorescence and Western blot. The contextual fear conditioning paradigm was employed to examine the involvement of GADD45B in modulating aversive memory acquisition.
UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS/MS was used to systematically analyze and compare the alkaloids in Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, Aconiti Radix, and Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata. After the samples were pretreated in the solid-phase extraction cartridges, 0.1% ammonium hydroxide(A)-acetonitrile(B) was used for gradient elution.

This study aims to identify and analyze the metabolites of imperatorin in rats by UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS. Specifically, after rats were treated(ig) with imperatorin, the plasma, urine, and feces were collected, and the samples were processed by solid phase extraction. Then, UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS was performed.

Fibrosis is induced by tissue injury and inflammation, which leads to an increase in fibrous connective tissue in organs and a decrease in organ parenchyma cells, finally leading to organ dysfunction or even failure. The vascular niche is composed of endothelial cells, pericytes, macrophages, and hematopoietic stem cells.

The lipotoxicity model in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) was induced by palmitic acid(PA) stimulation. These cells were divided into a normal control group(NC, 15% normal serum), a model group(PA, 0.

In particular, amentoflavone and total flavonoids had influence on the leakage of ALT, AST, LDH, the activities of SOD and the content of MDA. They effectively reduced the loss of MMP, the release of Cyt C, and then inhibited activation of caspase-3/caspase-9 cascade in hepatotoxic cells.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) shows cognitive impairments in clinic, which is multifactorial with different etiopathogenic mechanisms such as Aβ deposition, neuroinflammation and neuronal dystrophy involved. Therefore, multi-targets drugs with neuroprotective, anti-amyloidogenic and anti-inflammatory properties will be effective in AD treatment. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) possesses a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities in the prevention and treatment of multiple neurodegenerative diseases.

Methods: A total of 70 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group, a model group, a medication group, a regular acupuncture group and a FTLR acupuncture group, 14 rats in each group. The rats in the model group, medication group, regular acupuncture group and FTLR acupuncture group were intervented with surgical ligation of the right common carotid artery (CCA) and the right subclavian artery (SCA) to establish the model of vertigo induced by posterior circulation ischemia; in the sham operation group, the right CCA and the right SCA were separated without ligation.
The studies outlined in this review highlight the relationship between inflammatory signaling molecules and connexin-43 (Cx43). Gap junction (GJ) channels and hemichannels (HCs) participate in the metabolic activity between intra- and extracellular space. Some ions and small molecules are exchanged from cell to cell or cell to extracellular space to affect the process of inflammation via GJ.

Eight-week-old male C57BL/J6 mice served as an inflammatory osteolysis model, in which UHMWPE particles were implanted into the calvarial subperiosteal space. The mice were randomly distributed into four groups and treated with different interventions; namely, a sham group [phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) injection and no UHMWPE particles], model group (PBS injection and implantation of UHMWPE particles), low-dose neomangiferin group (UHMWPE particles +2.

Objective: To explore the expression of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) in patients with acute leukemia (AL) and its clinical significance.
Methods: The FAK mRNA levels in leukemic cells of 50 patients with AL and bone marrow mononuclear cells(BMMNC) of 10 healthy controls were measured by semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The bone marrow cell chromosomes were prepared using direct and short term culture, and karyotyping was performed by R-banding technique.
To evaluate the effect of Chinese medicine of invigorating spleen and kidney detoxification on simian immunodeficiency virus-infected rhesus macaque. Eight SIV rhesus macaques of the same age were randomly divided into Chinese medicine of invigorating spleen and kidney detoxification group(hereinafter referred to as Chinese medicine group) and anti-virus drug(HAART) group. The traditional Chinese medicine and antiviral therapy were given for 8 weeks, and peripheral blood was collected for detection in every 4 weeks.

Corneal shape, refraction, and stromal stiffness are to a large part determined by corneal fibrils, the arrangements of which define the corneal cells and their functional behaviour. However, the modality and alignment of native corneal collagen lamellae are altered in various corneal pathological states such as infection, injury, keratoconus, corneal scar formation, and keratoprosthesis.
