In arthropods, the involvement of Dscam (Down syndrome cell adhesion molecule) in innate immunity has been extensively demonstrated. Its cytoplasmic tail contains multiple conserved functional sites, which indicates its involvement in different intracellular signaling pathways. In this study, we focused on the role of the cytoplasmic tail of Dscam in the Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) immune defense.
