Molecular testing of tumor samples for targetable biomarkers is restricted by a lack of standardization, turnaround-time, cost, and tissue availability across cancer types. Additionally, targetable alterations of low prevalence may not be tested in routine workflows. Algorithms that predict DNA alterations from routinely generated hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained images could prioritize samples for confirmatory molecular testing.

The pathogenesis of IDD is multifaceted, and current therapeutic strategies remain limited. The nucleus pulposus (NP), primarily composed of NPCs, proteoglycans, and type II collagen, constitutes essential components for maintaining intervertebral disc (IVD) function and spinal motion.

However, limited terrestrial resources and environmental risks from uranium contamination require innovative immobilization and recovery solutions. In this work, we present a novel uranium recovery method using programmable electroactive living materials (ELMs).

Recently, we found that LAC promotes cerebral angiogenesis and inhibits early inflammation following ischemic stroke. In addition, LAC upregulates lipocalin-type prostaglandin D2 synthase (L-PGDS) in the brain.

EGE itself is rare, and cases with clinical manifestations of hemorrhagic ascites are even rarer, which undoubtedly increases the risk of misdiagnosis. Given this, this study reports a rare case of pediatric EGE presenting with paroxysmal abdominal pain without apparent cause, accompanied by acute tonsillitis and mesenteric lymphadenitis, suggesting a possible intestinal infection.

However, in production, the performances of such models heavily rely on changes in the system and data. The dynamic nature of the system environment, characterized by continuous changes, has significant implications for prediction models, leading to performance degradation and reduced clinical efficacy.

An alternative Direct Detection strategy (DD-ITD) for screening viral nucleic acid from stools, bypassing the need for virus culture, has been developed and extensively validated by GPLN partners. A multi-laboratory demonstration project was conceived to field-test the DD-ITD method by GPLN laboratories from the WHO African, Western Pacific, and Eastern Mediterranean regions, where wild serotype 1 or vaccine-derived polioviruses still circulate.

Background: WeChat public platform has become an important source for the public to obtain health information. We aimed to explore the key factors affecting users' willingness to adopt health information and their action mechanisms.
Methods: From April 2023 to May 2023, the users of WeChat public platforms were surveyed via online questionnaires, and the factors influencing users' willingness to adopt health information and their action mechanisms were analyzed using quantitative statistics and structural equation model (SEM).
Excessive osteoclast activity could cause skeletal diseases including osteoporosis. Additionally, autophagy plays an initial role in osteoclast differentiation and function. Ginkgolide B (GB), a key compound in Ginkgo biloba, improves bone mass and suppresses mature osteoclast formation in vitro.

The active ingredients and microbial composition of dried tea residue vary depending on different tea processing techniques. This study investigated the effects of six processed dry tea residues-green tea (G), black tea (B), raw Pu'er tea (Z), white tea (W), and ripe Pu'er tea (D)-at two addition ratios (5% and 10%) on the nutritional composition, fermentation quality, fermentation, and bacterial community of sweet sorghum () in the ensiling process.

Assessing the difficulties involved in the career decision-making process is instrumental for identifying the sources of their career indecision, which may assist them in making more informed career decisions. This study aims to develop and validate an instrument to measure career decision-making challenges of IMSs in China, who are mainly from low- and middle-income countries.

Patients And Methods: Sixty-eight patients aged 50 to 80 undergoing gastric radical surgery were randomly assigned to the remimazolam group (group R) or the propofol group (group P), receiving remimazolam or propofol-based intravenous anesthesia, respectively. The primary outcome measured was peri-operative serum stress indicators and lymphocyte subtypes.
Advanced electrocatalysts capable of bifunctional catalysis for formic acid oxidation (FAOR) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) have garnered significant attention due to their exceptional energy efficiency. In this research, we have meticulously designed a PdCu bimetallene characterized by numerous crystalline/amorphous (c/a) interfaces and robust d-sp orbital hybridization, achieved by integrating the p-block metalloid boron within the PdCu matrix (B-PdCu-c/a). The B-PdCu-c/a bimetallene revealed a multitude of surface atoms and unsaturated defect sites, offering abundant catalytic active sites and an optimized electronic structure.

The use of anti-adhesion materials as physical barriers is an effective strategy to prevent postoperative adhesions. However, the local inflammatory microenvironment exerts a significant impact on the efficacy of anti-adhesion therapies.

Recently, several studies have linked ambient air pollution with the acute exacerbation of certain ILDs, but the evidence remains limited and inconclusive. With a multicenter hospital-based case-crossover design, we investigated 9128 patients who resided in Jiangsu province, China, and were admitted for ILDs between 2019 and 2022.

Objectives: To examine associations of diet quality during pregnancy with offspring pre- and early-adolescent brain morphology and to investigate whether brain morphology mediates associations of diet quality during pregnancy with full-scale intelligence quotient (IQ) in early adolescence.
Background: The Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) is a widely used technique for delivering intravenous fluids and medications, especially in critical care units. PICC may induce venous thrombosis (PICC-RVT), which is a frequent and serious complication. In clinical practice, Color Doppler Flow Imaging (CDFI) is regarded as the gold standard for diagnosing PICC-RVT.

However, their limited electrogenic efficiency and metabolic versatility, due to genetic and metabolic constraints, hinder broader applications. Herein, we developed a multifaceted approach to fabricate an enhanced electrogenic chassis, starting with streamlining the genome by removing extrachromosomal genetic material.
