In this study, magnetic FeO-coated metal-organic framework composites, CONH-MIL-101(Cr)/FeO, were synthesized by depositing FeO particles on the surface of amidated MIL-101(Cr). The scanning electron microscope images show that the MIL-101(Cr) crystals were uniformly coated by FeO particles. The magnetic hysteresis curve of CONH-MIL-101(Cr)/FeO reveals a saturated magnetization value of 23.

Doxorubicin (Dox) is a potent chemotherapeutic agent commonly used in cancer treatment. However, cardiotoxicity severely limited its clinical application. To address this challenge, a novel self-assembled nanomedicine platform, PMDDH, is developed for the co-delivery of Dox and metformin, an antidiabetic drug with cardioprotective and anti-tumor properties.

Five new germanium chalcogenides containing transition metals such as manganese, zinc, and cadmium were synthesized by solvothermal methods using alkali metals as structural directing agents. RbMnGeSe (), CsMnGeSe (), and CsZnGeSe () have a one-dimensional chain structure and RbZnGeSe·HO () and RbCdGeSe () have a two-dimensional layer structure.

This renowned herbal medicine has been documented to lead to liver damage in humans. The present study demonstrated that TSG underwent 2-step metabolic activation to generate a reactive metabolite, involving both intestinal and hepatic metabolisms.

The results showed that the variation trends of multiple hormone contents and enzyme activities were broadly similar at different time points, with HO, SA, JA, PPO, SOD, PAL and POD showing a trend of increasing and then decrease after inoculation with the pathogen. The contents of HO peaked on the second day and subsequently declined.

Despite efforts using anti-EpCAM monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), their anti-tumor effects have been limited. Single-domain antibodies (sdAbs), in contrast, offer advantages such as efficient tumor penetration and reduced immunogenicity.

This study evaluates the effectiveness and safety of Azacitidine combined with the HAG regimen in a broader patient cohort, including newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory AML patients. This single-center, prospective cohort included patients with acute myeloid leukemia admitted to our center from June 2019 to Oct 2022 for induction chemotherapy with the HAGA regimen (Azacitidine combined with HAG).

Genetic factors, beyond human leukocyte antigen B27, play a significant role in SpA development. Leveraging advanced statistical methods, this study explores bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) and Bayesian colocalization to unravel the genetic links between SpA and its extra-articular manifestations.

Pembrolizumab, a programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor, has emerged as a promising therapy, necessitating a comprehensive analysis of its efficacy and safety.
Methods: Adhering to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, we conducted a thorough search across major electronic databases to compile studies evaluating Pembrolizumab's efficacy and safety in treating advanced NSCLC.
Ovarian cancer (OC) is a deadly gynecologic cancer associated with metastasis, recurrence, and treatment resistance. The expression of the alanine-serine-cysteine transporter 2 (ASCT2) has been linked to poor prognosis and immune cell infiltration in OC tumors, but the underlying mechanisms are unclear. Lentiviral constructs were used to manipulate ASCT2 expression in OC cells (SKOV-3).

However, most existing studies have primarily focused on the stabilisation of heavy metals, with limited research exploring the broader environmental effects following the application of modified biochar. In this study, we developed a potassium permanganate (KMnO)-hematite-modified biochar (MnFeB) as a passivating agent for heavy metals, specifically targeting cadmium (Cd) and zinc (Zn)-contaminated soils.

This study aimed to compare the clinical results of locking compression plates (LCP) and elastic stable intramedullary nails (ESIN) combined with temporary external fixator (TEF) in school-aged children weighing over 50 kg.
Methods: Between January 2010 and January 2018, children over 50 kg with length unstable femoral shaft fracture treated with ESIN & EF in the authors' institute were included in this study.
The aberrant activation of the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling has been identified as a significant contributor to the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA), exacerbating OA symptoms and driving OA progression. Despite its potential as a therapeutic target, clinical translation is impeded by the lack of a targeting delivery system and effective drug candidate that can modulate steady-state protein levels of β-catenin at post-translational level. Our study addresses these challenges by offering a new approach for OA treatment.

Branched-chain amino acid aminotransferase (BCAT) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the metabolism of BCAAs. BCAT is upregulated in many cancers and implicated in the development and progress of some other diseases, such as metabolic and neurological diseases; and therefore, targeting BCAT might be a potential therapeutic approach for these diseases.

Here, we present dual-engine cell microrobots, which we refer to as PR-robots, created by conjugating photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) with red blood cells (RBCs). The robots penetrate the tumor interior in swarms through combined hypoxic traction and ultrasound actuation (UA).
