However, how viral factors sequester the autophagic substrates into autophagosomes remains largely unknown. In this study, we showed that p20 protein, a viral suppressor of RNA silencing (VSR) encoded by citrus tristeza virus (CTV), mediated autophagic degradation of SUPPRESSOR OF GENE SILENCING 3 (SGS3), a plant-specific RNA-binding protein that is pivotal in antiviral RNA silencing.

Members of the R2R3-MYB subfamily play important roles in regulating pathogen resistance in plants, however the gene function in regulating host resistance in pear remains unclear. In this study, the role of PcMYB44 were investigated in regulating host resistance disease in pear calli using both forward and reverse genetic approaches.

In light of these discrepancies, our study undertakes an umbrella review to more precisely determine the aggregate effects and rigorously evaluate the credibility and quality of evidence.
Methods: We conducted a systematic search across seven databases, including PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, ProQuest, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Scopus, from their inception to June 20, 2024.

As a biocatalyst, laccase has been widely studied and applied in the papermaking industry. However, the low catalytic efficiency and poor stability of natural laccase limit its application in the pulping process. To develop the laccase with high activity and strong tolerance, we carried out directed evolution for modification of the laccase derived from and screened out the mutants F282L/F306L and Q275P from the random mutant library by high-throughput screening.

However, the cell heterogeneity of chondrocytes in human articular cartilage is still not well defined, which hinders our understanding of the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA). Here, we constructed a single-cell transcriptomic atlas of chondrocytes in healthy cartilage and identified nine chondrocyte subsets including homeostatic chondrocytes, proliferate fibrochondrocytes, and hypertrophic chondrocytes (HTC).

This study investigates a novel composting additive, calcium polypeptides (CPPs), derived from waste animal and plant proteins, which can enhance the bioconversion capacity of biomass in the KW-GW co-composting system. As a pH regulator and an available nitrogen source, CPPs significantly increase the compost matrix pH, prolong the thermophilic phase, and reduce emissions of exhaust gases such as CH, NO, NH, and HS by 52.

Despite its effectiveness, there is limited research on the cultural adaptation of PBIS in other cultures, especially in Asia. Based on cultural adaptation frameworks, the current case study reports the cultural adaptation and implementation process of PBIS Tier 1 in a Chinese elementary school, including the steps and strategies in its engagement, design, and implementation.

Background: Readmission to the intensive care unit (ICU) remains a severe challenge, leading to higher rates of death and a greater financial burden. This study aimed to develop a nomogram-based prediction model for individuals with acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD).
Methods: A total of 846 ATAAD patients were retrospectively enrolled between May 2014 and October 2021.
Lung cancer screening is not limited to low dose computed tomography (LDCT). Recently, molecular biomarkers have been shown to have the potential to improve the current state of early lung cancer detection. The current study determined the efficiency of seven autoantibodies against tumor-associated antigens (7-AABs) and tumor markers in patients with lung cancer.

For example, joint profiling of chromatin accessibility and transcriptome from the same single cell (scATAC + RNA) identified new cell subsets within the well-defined clusters. However, lack of single-cell multimodal omics (scMMO) database has led to data fragmentation, seriously hindering access, utilization and mining of scMMO data.

In this study, a novel circular ssDNA virus, tentatively named Diaporthe sojae circular DNA virus 1 (DsCDV1), was identified in the phytopathogenic fungus Diaporthe sojae isolated from pear trees. DsCDV1 has a monopartite genome (3185 nt in size) encapsidated in isometric virions (21-26 nm in diameter).

We found cancer cells, endothelial cells and stromal cells in tumor tissue expressed much more genes and had stronger cell-cell interactions than their counterparts in normal tissue. We identified copy number variations (CNVs) in each cancer cell and found correlation between gene copy number and expression level in cancer cells at single cell resolution.
