Supercritical fluid-based methods have been receiving increasing popularity in the production of pharmaceutical nanoparticles due to their ability to control the size and distribution of the particles and offer high purity products. The gas anti-solvent method is one of the methods in which a supercritical fluid serves as an anti-solvent. The aim of this work is to develop pazopanib hydrochloride nanoparticles as an anti-cancer agent by the supercritical GAS method.

Oxidative stress plays a role in the pathophysiology of metabolic syndrome (MetS), and one of the most important features of polyphenols is their antioxidant properties. However, there is no universal consensus on the effectiveness of polyphenols in treating Mets. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the association between polyphenols and MetS in an Iranian sample.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the respondent-driven sampling technique was used by choosing eight seeds, three waves, and six coupons for each participant. The estimated population size was calculated by wisdom of the crowds, multiplier, and successive sampling-population size estimation (SS-PSE) methods.
Background: A decade after the implementation of the Urban Family Physician Program (UFFP) in Fars province, southern Iran, we aimed to reveal people's opinions regarding the strengths and challenges of this program, which help policymakers for evidence-based improvement of this program.
Methods: In this thematic content analysis qualitative study, which was performed in 2023, one adult individual of each family under the coverage of UFPP was selected using a purposeful sampling method. Then, an in-depth and semi-structured phone interview was conducted with each participant.
In this study, rapid expansion of a supercritical solution into a Liquid Solvent (RESOLV) was used for the first time to produce pharmaceutical nanoparticles of Prazosin hydrochloride (PRH). The Taguchi method (robust design) was utilized to design the experiments and ensure obtaining the optimal process conditions. The pressure (15-25 MPa), temperature (308-328 K) and nozzle diameter (300-700 μm) effects on the morphology and size distribution of the resulting particles were also examined.

When particle size is decreased, drug uptake into the body increases. Recent studies have revealed that the rapid expansion of supercritical solution with cosolvent plays a significant role in preparing micron and submicron particles.

Accordingly, this study analyzes the trends of RTDR and their association with the HDI and its components from 2000 to 2019.
Methods: The RTDR data of 154 countries were imported into the unconditional latent growth model (LGM) to assess the RTDR trends.
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) prevalence has augmented globally during recent decades. Over the past years, the consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) has grown significantly worldwide. So, the present research investigated the association between UPFs and MetS in an Iranian sample.

Introduction: This study aimed to detect interdisciplinary subjects for integration into the medical education program of Iran.
Methods: A qualitative-quantitative method was used. Firstly, interdisciplinary subjects demanded by medical graduates and senior medical students were defined by qualitative study.
Introduction: Despite all the advantages of urban family physician program (UFPP), there is still a gap between UFPP and what is actually achieved by the community after its implementation in Iran. In response, this study attempted to review published studies related to the barriers to the implementation of the UFPP in Iran as well as potential solutions to improve it. Further, a qualitative study was conducted to learn the perspectives of experts at the national level and in the Fars province in order to better understand the program's challenges.

In this research, the solubility of Aripiprazole was measured in SC-[Formula: see text] at various temperatures (308-338 K) and pressures (12-30 MPa). Moreover, the experimental solubility results were correlated with several semi-empirical models (Chrastil, Bartle et al.

Objective: This current study aims to perform a hybrid neural network analysis of different data, make a decision tree and finally design a decision support system for improving LT prioritization.
Material And Methods: In this cohort follow-up-based study, baseline characteristics of 1947 adult patients, who were candidates for LT in Shiraz Organ Transplant Center, Iran, were assessed and followed for two years and those who died before LT due to the end-stage liver disease were considered as dead cases, while others considered as alive cases.
Activated carbons are used in industrial applications; their cost is a major barrier to their more widespread application. Regeneration of activated carbons is indispensable to minimize operational costs and product wastage. Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO) as green technology was used to regenerate activated carbons.

Methods: As a cross-sectional study, HRQOL of all adult patients (n=632) referred to the LT center of Shiraz, Iran in 2018-2019 were assessed.
Background: The novel coronavirus disease 2019 has severely affected communities around the world. Fear and stress of being infected, along with pressure caused by lockdown, prevention protocols, and the economic downturn, increased tension among people, which consequently led to the rise of domestic violence (DV). Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the rate of change in DV and its associated factors during the COVID-19 epidemic in Shiraz, Iran.

Methods: In this cross-sectional population-based study carried out in Shiraz (the central city in the Southern part of Iran), we documented and evaluated the drug usage details in a random sample of 1000 households during 2018-2020. We analyzed the usage of drug categories based on the anatomical therapeutic chemical classification, which the World Health Organization recommends.
Wetting and fouling have significantly affected the application of membrane distillation (MD). In this work, a dip-coating method was used for improving surface hydrophobicity of the polyetherimide (PEI) hollow fiber membrane. An air gap membrane distillation (AGMD) process was applied for treatment of the methylene blue (MB) solution.
