Subunit vaccines use delivery platforms to present minimal antigenic components for immunization. The benefits of such systems include multivalency, self-adjuvanting properties, and more specific immune responses. Previously, the design, synthesis, and characterization of self-assembling peptide cages (SAGEs) have been reported.

Evaluation of MRI findings after polyacrylamide gel injection for breast augmentation.

Objective: Polyacrylamide gel injection mammoplasty has recently been used for breast augmentation. However, many complications have been reported including complications that in some patients resulted in the need for mastectomy. This article reviews the MRI appearances of various complications of polyacrylamide gel injection mammoplasty including breast asymmetry; intramammary or extramammary gel displacement, including intrathoracic extension; and glandular atrophy, inflammation, and infection resulting in mastectomy.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumor of rectum: a report of 2 cases.

The specific c-kit protein (CD117)-positive gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) of the rectum has been sporadically reported in pathology literature, but its radiologic features have never been thoroughly described. We present 2 cases of histologically and immunohistochemically confirmed rectal GISTs. Their clinical and multimodality imaging features are illustrated, and the relevant literature is reviewed and discussed.
