Introduction: Collision tumors of the appendix are rare tumors consisting of two distinct pathologies arising from different cell lines simultaneously. The most common type is the coexistence of a neuroendocrine tumor (NET) with a low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm (LAMN). We report a unique case of appendiceal collision tumor with synchronous cecal intra-mucosal carcinoma and pulmonary sarcoidosis.

These types of tumors have been associated with recurrence and malignant transformation; however, recurrence and malignancy are considered very rare. We present a case report of a 35-year-old male who presented with two lumps, clinically representing simple lipomas but one of them turned to be a hidradenoma.

Knowledge of genes associated with colon cancer development and progression is essential for identifying new cancer-specific biomarkers to improve the diagnosis of colon cancer.
Methods: The expression levels of , , , , , and in 15 adjacent colon cancer and normal colon tissue samples from male patients were investigated using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) assays.
Radical resection for low rectal cancer is the mainstay among the treatment modalities. Intersphincteric resection (ISR) is considered a relatively new but effective surgical treatment for low-lying rectal tumor. As the sphincter preserving techniques get popularized, we notice uncommon complication associated with it in the form of rectal mucosal prolapse.

However, many of the procedures remain a technical challenge for surgeons to perform laparoscopically, which has prompted the development of robotic platforms. Robotic surgery has been introduced as the latest advance in minimally invasive surgery.

The bowel dysfunction usually manifests in the form of low anterior resection syndrome (LARS), which has a negative impact on the patients' quality of life. This study reviewed the LARS after SPS, its mechanism, risk factors, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment based on previously published studies.

We report a 47-year-old patient who was found to have chronic megacolon. After failing conservative management, he underwent extended hemicolectomy with colorectal anastomosis.
