Background: Recent evidence suggests atrial fibrillation (AF) causes cardiomyopathy due to remodeling driven by both irregular rate and rhythm. Atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation in patients with reduced ejection fraction (EF) ≤ 35% has been shown to improve EF and mortality. It is unknown whether the benefits of AF ablation among patients with reduced EF are affected by the degree of pre-ablation rate control.

Therefore, modulation of ERAP1 activity has potential therapeutic indications for cancer immunotherapy and in autoimmune disease.

Conduction abnormality post-transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) remains clinically significant and usually requires chronic pacing. The effect of right ventricular (RV) pacing post-TAVI on clinical outcomes warrants further studies. We identified 147 consecutive patients who required chronic RV pacing after a successful TAVI procedure and propensity-matched these patients according to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) risk score to a control group of patients that did not require RV pacing post-TAVI.

Enhancing H-driven CO biomethanation performance in bidirectional flow tidal bioreactor by reducing liquid film resistance and heterogeneity.

This study presents a bidirectional flow tidal bioreactor designed to enhance H-driven CO biomethanation. The bioreactor alternated biofilms between immersion in nutrient solution and exposure to H/CO, creating alternating dry and wet states. This tidal operation minimized liquid film thickness during dry periods and ensured uniform nutrient distribution during wet periods.
