Introduction: Validated patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are crucial for assessing patients' experiences in the healthcare system. Both clinically and theoretically, patient-centered consultations are essential in patient-care, and are often suggested as the optimal strategy in caring for patients with multimorbidity.
Aim: To either identify or develop and validate a patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) to assess patient-centredness in consultations for patients with multimorbidity in general practice.
Objectives: Randomized clinical trials informing clinical practice (e.g., like large, pragmatic, and late-phase trials) should ideally mostly use harmonized outcomes that are important to patients, family members, clinicians, and researchers.

The aim of the present phase IV study was to assess adherence to the current Danish guidelines and evaluate the treatment outcome in HNSCCUP patients.
Materials And Methods: Prospectively collected data in the DAHANCA database from patients treated between 2014 and 2020 was evaluated.

Following cardiac surgery, active participation in cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is associated with reduced cardiovascular events and improved survival. However, CR attendance remains persistently low, with only ∼25% of patients participating. The Peer Coaching for Cardiac Patients (PCCP) pilot programme aimed to assess whether peer coaching could enhance CR participation and reduce perioperative anxiety and depression in cardiac surgery patients.

We aimed to determine the prevalence of potassium disorders at ICU admission and its association with functional outcomes in comatose patients resuscitated from cardiac arrest.
Methods: We performed a post hoc analysis of pooled data from four randomised clinical trials involving comatose post-cardiac arrest patients admitted to ICU after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).

Background: Cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM) is a disease characterized by vascular malformations that primarily develop in the brain. These malformations are prone to leak, and their rupture or thrombotic closure can cause life-threatening hemorrhages and strokes. Mouse models have been instrumental to study the disease, but most cause premature lethality, precluding the investigation of disease mechanisms through intravital microscopy.

Methods: Data were derived from health screenings from 2020 to 2021 for 75-year-old home-dwelling residents of Western Finland. The study compared emergency department visits and associated costs between older adults who participated in the health screening (intervention group) and those who did not (non-intervention group).
Background: Critically ill patients experience cognitive impairment throughout their intensive care unit trajectory, in the acute phase and the long-term alike. Cognitive impairment may negatively impact patients' quality of life and rehabilitation outcomes.
Aim: To provide an overall examination of literature concerning non-pharmacological interventions that can enhance cognitive functioning in critically ill patients or facilitate their rehabilitation pathway during and after their intensive care unit stay.
The explore/exploit tradeoff is a fundamental property of choice selection during reward-guided decision making. In perceptual decision making, higher certainty decisions are more motorically precise, even when the decision does not require motor accuracy. However, while we can parametrically control uncertainty in perceptual tasks, we do not know what variables - if any - shape motor precision and reflect subjective certainty during reward-guided decision making.

A 15-week resistance training intervention (RTI) significantly reduced moderate-to-severe VMS (MS-VMS) and improved health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and cardiovascular risk markers in postmenopausal women. Whether a short RTI could have long-term effects is unknown.

Background And Purpose: As preparation for a national randomized study comparing proton radiotherapy to photon radiotherapy, DAHANCA 35, we performed a non-randomized pilot study to investigate patient selection, logistics, planning, and treatment delivery. With the present study, as a comprehensive safety analysis, we want to compare toxicity during and up to two months after therapy to a historically matched group of patients treated with photon radiotherapy.
Materials And Methods: 62 patients treated with protons were matched to 124 patients who received photon treatment outside a protocol.
Background: Menopausal vasomotor symptoms (VMS) are increasingly emphasized as a potentially important cardiovascular risk factor, but their role is still unclear. We assessed the association between VMS and subclinical atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in peri- and postmenopausal women.
Methods And Results: Using a cross-sectional study design, questionnaire data were collected from a population-based sample of women aged 50 to 64.
Anisotropic cellulose nanofiber (CNF) foams represent the state-of-the-art in renewable insulation. These foams consist of large (diameter >10 μm) uniaxially aligned macropores with mesoporous pore-walls and aligned CNF. The foams show anisotropic thermal conduction, where heat transports more efficiently in the axial direction (along the aligned CNF and macropores) than in the radial direction (perpendicular to the aligned CNF and macropores).

Later in life it may reactivate as herpes zoster. We report a rare manifestation of reactivation of VZV infection presenting as cutaneous vasculitis and varicella pneumonia in a lung transplant recipient.

Although intravenous PACAP triggers migraine attacks and a recent phase II trial with a PACAP-inhibiting antibody showed efficacy in migraine prevention, targeting the PACAP receptor PAC1 alone has been unsuccessful. The present study investigated the role of three PACAP receptors (PAC1, VPAC1 and VPAC2) in inducing migraine-relevant hypersensitivity in mice.

A fibrofatty residuum remains in many tumors and often necessitates resection. We recently discovered that R(+) propranolol, the non-β blocker enantiomer, inhibits blood vessel formation of IH patient-derived hemangioma stem cells (HemSC) xenografted in mice.

Managing these horses is discouraging, and efficient treatment options are lacking. Due to an incidental finding in a study on horses affected by insect bite hypersensitivity using the eosinophil-targeting eIL-5-CuMV-TT vaccine, we observed the prevention of reoccurring seasonal urticaria in four subsequent years with re-vaccination.
